State Bank of India (SBI) is inviting application from the eligible candidates for 2200 posts of Probationary Officers (PO). STATE BANK OF INDIA (SBI) INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR 2200 POSTS OF PROBATIONARY OFFICERS (PO). LAST DATE — 24/05/2016

 

PROBATIONARY OFFICERS
Number of vacancies: 2200 Nos. (Gen – 1028; SC-351; ST-231; OBC-590). Out of total vacancies, 60 reserved for PWD (VI/HI/OH).

 

Educational Qualification: Graduation in any discipline.
Candidates possessing qualification of Chartered Accountant may also apply.
Candidates awaiting Final Year/ Semester of their Graduation may also apply.

 

Age Limit: Not below 21 years and not above 30 years as on 01.04.2016 i.e candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.04.1986 and not later than 01.04.1995 (both days inclusive). Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Domicile of J&K—05yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others, if any – As per Govt. norms.

 

Emoluments: Starting basic pay is Rs.27620/- in the scale of Rs.23700 – Rs.42020/-

 

Candidates’ Selection: The examination will be held in two phases – preliminary and main. Candidates who will qualify in preliminary examination and shortlisted will have to appear for main examination and shortlisted candidates in the main examination will subsequently be called for a Group Discussion & Interview

Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test would be of 1 hour duration consisting – (i) English Language, (ii) Quantitive Aptitude and (iii) Reasoning Ability.

Main Examination will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 50 marks.
Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests will be online. Candidates will have to answer Descriptive Test by typing on the computer. Examination will be held at various centres across the country. In West Bengal, the examination will be at following centres – Asansol, Berhampur (West Bengal), Bardhaman, Dumkal, Durgapur, Hooghly, Howrah, Kalyani, Kolkata and Siliguri.

Application Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.600/- (Rs.100/- for SC/ST, PWD) as Application Fee.
