South Eastern Railway (SER) is inviting application for recruitment of 663 Act Apprentices in different trades, viz. – Fitter, Turner, Electrician, Welder (G&E), Mechanic (Dsl), Machinist, Painter (G) and etc its Workshop and other Units. Educational Qualification (for all above Trades): Matriculation/Class 10th passed with 50% marks and ITI certificate in the relevant trade.

 

Age limit (for all above trades): 15 to 24 years as on 01.01.2015. The upper age relaxation for SC/ST is 5 years, OBC is 3 years, PWD is 10 years and others as per govt. norms.

 

Training Period & Stipend: As per extant rules & directives issued by Railway Board from time to time. See advt. given below.

 

Mode of Selection: Selection of the candidates will be on the basis of marks obtained in the Qualification , Medical examination (wherever required) and Interview. Exact Date, Time and Venue for examination will be intimated in due course.

Application Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.100/- through Bank Draft or Postal Order drawn in favour of FA & CAO, South Eastern Railway/Gaden Reach, Payable at Kolkata.

No Fee for SC/ST/PWD/Ex-serv/Women/Minorities & Economically Backward Classes.

Candidates should enclose 2 self addressed envelopes (Size 11″ x 5″) duly affixed with Rs.5/- postage stamp on each envelope, with the Application Form.

The envelope containing the application must be superscripted in Bold letters as “APPLICATION FOR TRAINING UNDER APPRENTICESHIP ACT”.
