SOUTH WESTERN RAILWAYS IS INVITING APPLICATION FOR 09 POSTS OF GROUP ‘C’ AND GROUP ‘D’. LAST DATE — 06/03/2017
1. GROUP ‘C’
No. of Vacancies: 02 Nos.
Quota/Distribution wise vacancies:
(i) South Western Railway: 02 posts
Educational Qualification: 12th passed (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination OR Matriculation Plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship/lTl approved by NCVT/SCVT.
Candidates must have obtained with 50% marks in the required qualification (Pass marks for SC/ST/EXSM/PWD candidates)
Age Limit: Minimum-18 years and maximum-29 years as on 01.01.2017
Pay Scale: Rs.5200 – Rs.20200 and Grade Pay Rs.1900/-
2. ERSTWHILE GROUP ‘D’
No. of Vacancies: 07 Nos.
Quota wise vacancies:
i). Hubballi: 02 posts
ii) Bengaluru: 02 posts
iii) Mysuru Divisions: 02 posts
iv). Rail Wheel Factory, Yelahanka: 01 post
Educational Qualification: 10th pass or ITI or equivalent qualification.
Note: Candidates appearing and/or awaiting results of the final examinations of 1Oth or lTl or equivalent on the date of application are not eligible to apply.
Age Limit: Minimum-18 years and maximum-32 years as on 01.01.2017
Pay Scale: Rs.5200 – Rs.20200 and Grade Pay Rs.1800/-
Scouts & Guides Qualification (for both above mentioned posts/grades): (a) A President Scout/Guide/ Rover/ Ranger OR Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) holder in any section; (b) Should have been an active member of a Scouts organization for the last 5 years and (c) Should have attended two events at National level OR All Indian Railways’ level AND two events at State level.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination followed by skill assessment. Written Examination will be held on 24/03/2017 for Group ‘D’ and 25/03/2017 for Group ‘C’

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.500/- (Rs. 250/- SC/ST/Ex-SM/PWD/Women, Minorities and Economically Backward classes as Examination Fee. Fee can be paid through Crossed lndian Postal Order drawn in favour of Asst. Personnel Officer/He, South Western Railway, Hubli, payable at Hubli. Candidates must write their name, full address in the space provided in the lndian postal Order.
