Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is going to hold a Combined All India Open Examination – Stenographers (Grade C & D) Examination—2013 for recruitment to the posts of Stenographer (Grade-C and Grade-D). The examination will comprise Written Examination (Objective type) and Stenography Test. Interested and eligible candidates may apply Online or Offline for the vacancies. Qualification norms and brief details is given below —

STENOGRAPHERS (GRADE ‘C’ & ‘D’) EXAMINATION – 2013
The actual numbers of vacancies to which candidates will be recruited on basis of the said examination will be intimated in due course.

Educational Qualification: Class 12 pass from recognized board/ university.

Age Limit: Between 18yrs to 27yrs as on 01-08-2013. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others – As per norms.

The selection procedure will be carried by Staff Selection Commission (SSC) through Combine All India Open Examination.
The examination will comprise of a Written Examination (Objective type) followed by Skill Test in Stenography at 100 words per minute and 80 words per minute for Stenography Grade ‘C’ and ‘D’ respectively.
The examination will be held on Sunday, the 29th December 2013.

How to Apply: Interested candidates may submit their Application form either Online or Offline. Online Application form is encouraged for various advantage over offline mode application.

For Online Application form: Visit the official website of UPSC (Click the live URL given below) and proceed to Part-I registration. After completion of Part-I registration, candidates will require to deposit their Application Fee (exempted categories will skip this step). After fee deposition, proceed to Part-II registration. In Part-II registration, candidates will require to upload their scan copy of passport size photograph and signature.
After final submission of Part-II application, the system generated Registration Slip will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it and retain safely to later use.
There is no need to send any hard copy or testimonials to the commission.  (See the below link for details)

For Offline Application mode (i.e. Hard copy): Visit the official website UPSC (See the URL below) and download the prescribed application format. The duly filled Application form along with enclosures is to be sent to the concerned Regional Office/Sub Regional Offices of the Commission by post. Application Fee: Rs.100/- is to be paid as Application Fee. Fee is exempted for all Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Physically Handicapped, and Ex-Servicemen

Mode of fee payment:
Candidates applying Online: Candidates may pay the through online payment system by using their Credit / Debit card or fee can be also paid by bank transaction through any braches of State Bank of India by means of system generated fee challan.
Candidates applying Offline (Hard copy): Pay the fee by means of “Central Recruitment Fee Stamps(CRFS)”only . CRFS are available at the counter of all Departmental Post Offices of the country. Recruitment Fee Stamps should be pasted on the application form in the space earmarked for the purpose and got cancelled from the Counter of Post Office of issue with the date stamp of the Issuing Post Office

Important Dates —
For Online Application form: Part-I registration can be done upto 24/10/2013 and Part-II registration can be done till 26/10/2013.
For Offline Application form: The Application form is to be send by post so as to reach on or before 26/10/2013 (02.11.2013 for candidates residing in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh Division of Jammu & Kashmir State, Lahaul-Spiti District and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep)
