SSC NWR INVITES APPLICATION FOR 47 SR. LIBRARY & INFORMATION ASSISTANT, SR. TECHNICAL ASSISTANT. AND INVESTIGATOR. LAST DATE – 15.11.2014 (22.11.2014)
1. Sr. Library & Information Assistant: 01 Nos. (UR)
Qualification: Degree from recognized University and Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Lib. Science AND Professional experience in a Library of Standing OR ‘Certificate in computer applications from a recognized Institute.
Desirable—Nil
2. Sr. Technical Assistant (Hydrometeorology): 1 No. (UR)
Qualification: A post Graduate Degree in Meteorology / Physics / Applied Physics/ Geophysics / Mathematics /Statistics.
Desirable— Experience in Meteorological work.
3. Sr. Technical Assistant (Geophysics): 3 Nos. (UR)
Qualification: Master’s Degree in Geophysics or Applied Geophysics from a recognized University.
Desirable — 2 Years’ experience in Geophysical investigations related to Ground Water Exploration
4. Sr. Technical Assistant (Chemical): 2 Nos. (UR)
Qualification: Master’s Degree in Chemistry or Agricultural Chemistry or Soil Science from a recognized University
Desirable— Two years experience in Ground Water Analysis and Ground Water Chemistry
5. Investigator Gr-II: 40 Nos. (UR-24, SC-04, ST-02 & OBC-10)
Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree with Statistics or Mathematics or Economics or Commerce as one of the subjects from a recognized University AND Certificate/Diploma Course in Computer Operation or Software.
Desirable—Master’s Degree in Statistics or Mathematics or Economics or Commerce and two years experience in collection, compilation and analysis of data
Age Limit (for all above posts): Not above 30 years. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs; Widow/Divorced women/legally separated women – 05yrs; PWD- 10yrs; Domicile of J&K—05yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others, if any – As per Govt. norms.
NOTE: Upper age is relaxable only for posts/vacancies reserved for categories like SC/ST/OBC. No such relaxation would be available for SC/ST/OBC candidates applying for UR posts/vacancies.
Pay Scale:
For Sr. Library & Information Asst. and Investigator Gr.II: Rs.9300- 34800 with Grade Pay: Rs.4200/-
For all Sr. Technical Assistant posts: Rs.9300- 34800 with Grade Pay: Rs.4600/-
Selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination and Interview/Skill test. Candidates fulfilling the minimum prescribed qualifications will be shortlisted for Examination on the basis of their educational qualifications, academic records, percentage of marks, etc. See advt. given below in PDF format for more details.
Application Fee: Rs.50/- is to be paid by means of “Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS)” only. These stamps are available at the counter of all Post Offices of the country. These Recruitment Fee Stamps may be pasted on the application form in the space earmarked for the purpose. These Recruitment Stamps must be got cancelled from the Counter Clerks of any Post Office of issue with the date stamp of the Issuing Office.
NO FEE FOR SC/ST, PH AND ALL WOMAN CANDIDATES.
How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply only on prescribed application format enclosed along with attested copies of Qualification Certificates, Mark sheets, Caste Certificate, Experience certificate, if any and any other relevant documents.
Candidates must also enclose two self-addressed envelopes (12 x 25 cms) affixed with the postal stamp of Rs.6/- on each, with the Application form.
