SUB-INSPECTOR IN CAPFS (CENTRAL ARMED POLICE FORCES)
Total vacancies — 1706 posts (Including Male & Female). Out of total 170 reserved for Ex-Servicemen.
(i) Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF): 221 posts.
(ii) Border Security Force (BSF): 607 posts.
(iii) Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP): 289 posts.
(iv) Central Industrial Security Force (CISF): 536 posts.
(v) Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB): 53 posts.
SUB INSPECTOR (EXECUTIVE-MALE) IN DELHI POLICE
Total vacancies — 95 posts (Male only apply). Out of total 11 reserved for Ex-Servicemen.
ASSISTANT SUB-INSPECTOR IN CENTRAL INDUSTRIAL SECURITY FORCE (CISF)
Total vacancies — 1101 posts (Including Male & Female). Out of total 110 reserved for Ex-Servicemen.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.
For the post of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police only, the male candidates must possess valid Driving License for Light Motor Vehicle.
AGE LIMITS (For all above posts):
20 to 25 years as on 01.01.2015. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST – 5yrs; OBC- 3yrs;; Domicile of J&K—05yrs; Ex-Serviceman and Others, if any – As per Govt. norms.
APPLICATION FEE:
Rs.100/- only
Candidates should pay the fee by means of “Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS)” only. These stamps are available at the counter of all Post Offices of the country. These Recruitment Fee Stamps may be pasted on the application form in the space earmarked for the purpose. These Recruitment Stamps must be got cancelled from the Counter Clerks of any Post Office of issue with the date stamp of the Issuing Office.
Candidates applying Online may pay their Fee by using Net Banking/ Credit or Debit card or in cash through SBI by means of fee payment challan.
NO APPLICATION FEE REQUIRED IN CASE OF SC/ST, EX-SERVICEMAN AND ALL WOMEN CANDIDATES.
CANDIDATES’ SELECTION:
The selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination and Interview. There will be also Physical Standards Test, Physical Efficiency/Endurance Test and finally Medical Examination.
The Written Examination will be conducted by Staff Selection Commission (SSC) which will be Objective Multiple Choice Type and will be in two papers, i.e. Paper-I and Paper-II.
The tentative date of Written Examination is 21/06/2015. This examination will be conducted in various centres of SSC. Candidates may have option to choose their examination centre which has to be mention in the Application form.

PHYSICAL STANDARDS (For all posts):
Male Candidates: Height—170 cms (162.5cms for ST candidates); Chest (Unexpanded/ Expanded) — 80cms/85cms (77/82 cms for ST candidates); Weight—Corresponding to height
Female Candidates: Height — 157 cms (154cms for ST) and Chest — Not applicable; Weight—Corresponding to height
Note: For cut-off in physical standards in case of candidates from Hill areas and Candidates falling in the categories of Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to the states of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir and Leh & Laddakh regions of J&K, please refer the advt. link given below.
EYE SIGHT (For all posts): The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of two eyes without correction i.e.without wearing of glasses.
Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties
PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TEST (For all posts)
a) 100 meters race in 16 seconds (in 18 seconds in case of Female candidates)
b) 1.6 Kms race in 6.5 minutes (800 metres race in 4 minutes in case of Female candidates)
c) Long Jump : 3.65 metres in 3 chances (2.7 mtrs for Female candidates)
d) High Jump : 1.2 metres in 3 chances (0.9 mtrs for Female candidates)
e) Shot put (16 Lbs): 4.5 metres in 3 chances (Not applicable for female candidates)

HOW TO APPLY:
Interested and eligible candidates may apply either Online through the official website of SSC or Offline in prescribed format (hard copy).
Online Application Mode: To Apply online, simply visit the official website of SSC — www.ssconline.nic.in (See live URL to Application form below) and click the appropriate link available. Candidates will first require to submit the Part-I of the Application and then after payment of fee can proceed to Part-II Registration. Reserved categories that are exempted from payment of fee can skip the fee payment steps.
Upon successful submission of online Application form, the system generated Registration Slip with unique registration number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must retain it safely for future correspondence. Do not send any print-out/hard copy to SSC. See officially released advertisement for more details.
Offline Application Mode: Candidates willing to apply Offline may submit their Application form on prescribed application format only which can be downloaded from the official website of SSC and then shall forward the duly filled Application form to SSC by Post.
