West Bengal Board of Primary Education, Department of School Education, is inviting application from the eligible candidates for Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) -2017 (Primary) for Classes I – V. Interested and eligible candidates may apply Online only through the official website of the West Bengal Board of Primary Education, Department (See URL below). Adv No.2552/BPE/2017. WEST BENGAL BOARD OF PRIMARY EDUCATION, DEPARTMENT OF SCHOOL EDUCATION, INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR TEACHER ELIGIBILITY TEST (TET) -2017 (PRIMARY) FOR CLASSES I – V. LAST DATE — 29/10/2017 (30/11/2017 FOR CANDIDATES PURSUING ELEMENTARY TEACHER TRAINING COURSE)

 

UPDATE:

As per official notice published on 14.11.2017, the candidates who are pursuing Elementary Teacher Training Course are also eligible to apply for TET. And the last date of application for such applicants is 30/11/2017.

Eligible Elementary Teacher Training Courses are –

(i) 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)

(ii) 4 year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)

(iii) 2 year Diploma in Education (Special Education), a course recognised by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI)

 

 

TEACHER ELIGIBILITY TEST (TET) -2017 (PRIMARY) FOR CLASSES I – V

Educational Qualification: Higher Secondary / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent 10+2) with 50% marks and Two years Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.)
OR
Higher Secondary / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent 10+2) with 50% marks and four years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
Higher Secondary / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and having Diploma in Education (Special Education), recognised by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
OR
Graduation and two years Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.).

 

Note: 5% relaxation of marks in Higher Secondary / Senior Secondary or its equivalent examination 10+2 (i.e. 45%) will be allowed for the SC, ST, OBC (A,/B) PH exempted category, Ex-service and DH (Death -in – harness) category candidates.

Minimum academic qualifications mentioned above obtained after the date of this notification 09/10/2017 shall not be accepted.

 

NOTE: As per Addendum released by West Bengal Board of Primary Education on dated 17.10.2017, the applicant who have appeared the final semester examination of Two Year D.Ed (Special Education) Course from RCI recognized institution on or before 09.10.2017 and the result is not yet published, shall also be eligible for appearing at the TET-2017

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.100/- (Rs.25/- for SC/ST/PH candidates) as Examination Fee. Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking or any other option available. How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply online only through the official website of West Bengal Board of Primary Education, Department — www.wbbpe.org / www.wbsed.gov.in (See Application form’s link given below) from dated 10/10/2017 to 29/10/2017 (30.11.2017 for candidates who are pursuing Elementary Teacher Training Course)
Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip with unique registration number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO ANYWHERE AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
