Mazagon Dock Limited, a Govt. of India undertaking, is recruiting 765 persons for the posts of – Technical Staff, Security Sepoy and Operatives in various trades as a skilled and Semi-skilled staff. The eligibility norms and criteria in brief is given below—
1. Spl Grade Engine Driver: 3 Nos. (Gen—3)
Qualification: Certificate of competency (Licence to act as Engineer) issued by Maharashtra Maritime Board/Mercantile Marine Dept. as per Indian Vessel Act. Candidates must have knowledge of swimming.
Minimum 3 yrs experience of operating tugs from 565 BHP and above. For details, refer the Advt.
2. Master 2nd Class: 1 Nos. (Gen)
Qualification: Certificate of competency (2nd class Master) issued by Maharashtra Maritime Board/Mercantile Marine Dept. as per Indian Vessel Act. Candidates must have knowledge of swimming.
Minimum 3 yrs experience of operating tugs from 565 BHP and above. For details, refer the Advt.
3. Sarang: 2 Nos. (Gen)
Qualification: Certificate of competency (Sarang) issued by Maharashtra Maritime Board/Mercantile Marine Dept. as per Indian Vessel Act. Knowledge of Swimming is compulsory. Minimum 5 yrs experience of operating passenger launch from 40 to 226 BHP. For details, refer the Advt.
4. Jr. QC Inspector (Mechanical): 20 Nos. (Gen—12; OBC—5; SC—2; ST—1)
Qualification: Higher Secondary pass with 3yrs diploma/degree in Mechanical or Marine Engineering with aggregate 55% of marks. For details, refer the Advt.
5. Jr. QC Inspector (Electrical/ Electronics): 3 Nos. (Gen)
Qualification: Higher Secondary pass with 3yrs of Diploma/ Degree in Electrical/ Electronics / Marine Engineering with aggregate 55% of marks. For details, refer the Advt.
6. Jr. Draughtsman: 1 Nos. (Gen)
Qualification: Higher Secondary pass and must have passed the “National Apprenticeship Certificate Examination in the Trade of ‘Draughtsman’.
7. Jr. Planner Estimator (Mechanical): 11 Nos. (Gen—8; OBC—2; SC—1)
Qualification: Higher Secondary pass with 3yrs diploma/degree in Mechanical or Marine Engineering with aggregate 55% of marks. For details, refer the Advt.
8. Jr. Planner Estimator (Electrical/ Electronics): 1 Nos. (Gen)
Qualification: Higher Secondary pass with 3yrs of Diploma/ Degree in Electrical/ Electronics / Marine Engineering with aggregate 55% of marks. For details, refer the Advt.
9. Store Keeper: 23 Nos. (gen—13; OBC—6; SC—2; ST—2)
Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics engineering and should have Computer knowledge preferable in SAP. For details, refer the Advt.
10. Fitter: 145 Nos. (Gen—79; OBC—39; SC—14; ST—13)
Qualification: Passed SSC and NAC in trade of Fitter. For details, refer the Advt.
11. Structural Fabricator: 151 Nos. (gen—83; OBC—40; SC—15; ST—13)
Qualification: Passed SSC and NAC in trade of Structural Fitter/ Fabricator/ Sheet Metal Worker
12. Pipe Fitter: 179 Nos. (Gen—98; OBC—48; SC—17; ST—16)
Qualification: Passed SSC and NAC in trade of Electrician.
13. Electrician: 53 Nos. (Gen—30; OBC—14; SC—5; ST—4)
Qualification: Passed SSC and NAC in trade of Electrician
14. Electric Crane Operator: 3 Nos. (Gen)
Qualification: Passed SSC and NAC in trade of Electrician and must have one year of experience as Electrical Crane Operator. Candidates without experience may apply as Trainee. For details, refer the Advt.
15. Electronic Mechanic: 4 Nos. (Gen—3; OBC—1)
Qualification: Passed SSC and NAC in trade of Electronic mechanic
16. Painter: 9 Nos. (Gen—7; OBC—2)
Qualification: Passed Class VIII and NAC in trade of Painter
17. Carpenter: 13 Nos. (Gen—8; OBC—3; SC—1; ST—1)
Qualification: Passed class VIII and NAC in trade of Carpenter
18. Rigger: 34 Nos. (Gen—19; OBC—9; SC—3; ST—3)
Qualification: Passed class VIII and NAC in trade of Rigger.
19. Security Sepoy (Ex—Serviceman): 13 Nos. (Gen—8; OBC—3; SC—1; ST—1)
Qualification: SSC passed and Ex-service man preferred. For details, refer the Advt.
20. Utility Hand: 33 Nos. (Gen—20; OBC—8; SC—3; ST—2)
Qualification: Passed SSC with NAC in any trade and have worked in Shipbuilding industry as Utility Hand for minimum period of one year may apply. In case of non-availability of candidates as Utility Hand, candidates having passed SSC and NAC examination conducted by NCVT in the trade of Motor Vehicle Body Builder / Tool & Die Maker(Allied trade)/ Motor Vehicle Mechanic / Diesel Mechanic and Instrument Mechanic may apply. 21. Chipper Grinder: 63 Nos. (Gen—35; OBC—17; SC—6; ST—5)
Qualification: Passed SSC and NAC in any trade and have worked in Shipbuilding industry as Chipper Grinder for minimum period of one year. Candidates having passed SSC with NAC examination conducted by NCVT in the trade of Machinist / Machinist (Grinder) / Turner may apply for the post of Trainee Chipper Grinder. Age limits—
For posts in sl.no. 1 to 3: between 18yrs to 45yrs.
For posts in Sl.No.4 to 21: between 18yrs to 33yrs.
Age will be counted as on 01/08/2012. Age relaxation is as per norms.
