TELANGANA STATE SCHOOL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT (TS – TET, 2016)
Educational qualification for (Class I to V):
Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% (45% marks for SC/ST/BC/ Differently abled candidates) AND pass in 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education / 04Â year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) / 2 years Diploma in Education (Special Education)
OR
Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks (40% in case of SC/ST/BC/Differently abled candidates) AND pass in 2 year  Diploma in Elementary Education / 04 year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) / 2 – year Diploma in Education (Special Education) in case of the candidates who have passed or admitted to D.El.Ed / D.Ed., course prior to issue of these guidelines ( 23-12-2015) (See PDF file below for details).
Educational Qualification for (Class VI to VIII):
B.A./B.Sc./B.Com., with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of SC, ST, BC and Differently abled candidates) AND pass in Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) course / Bachelor of Education (B. Ed -Special Education)
OR
B.A./B.Sc./B.Com., with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of SC, ST, BC and Differently abled candidates) AND pass in Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) course / Bachelor of Education (B. Ed -Special Education) in case of the candidates who have passed or admitted to B.Ed., course prior to issue of these guidelines (23-12-2015) (See PDF file below for details).
OR
Four year B.A. Ed /B.Sc.Ed. with at least 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST/BC/Differently abled candidates).
OR
Graduation with language concerned as one of the optional subjects OR Bachelor of oriental language (or its equivalent) OR Graduation in literature OR Post Graduation in language concerned AND Language Pandit Training Certificate/B. Ed with language concerned as one of the Methodologies, in respect of Language Teachers.
Candidates’ Selection: TET Examination will be Multiple Choice Questions. There will be two papers of the TET, Paper-I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for Classes I to V, Paper-II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for Classes VI to VIII. A person who intends to be a teacher either for classes I to V or for classes VI to VIII shall have to appear for both papers (Paper I and Paper II) (if eligible).
TS-TET shall be conducted in all the 10 Districts of the State Telangana on 01.05.2016 (9:30 am to 5pm)

Examination Fee:Â Candidates must pay Rs.200/- (for one paper only, i.e. candidates willing to sit for both papers should pay Rs.400/-) as Examination Fee. Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking or any other option available. How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply online only through the official website of Telangana State School Education Department — http://tstet.cgg.gov.in (See link to Application form given below) from dated 16.03.2016 to 31.03.2016.
Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip with unique registration number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO ANYWHERE AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
