Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is conducting Indian Forest Service Examination-2013. Examination Notice No. 05/2013-IFoS. INDIAN FOREST SERVICE EXAMINATION – 2013
(N.B: Government have recently changed the examination process by introducing a component of screening mechanism through Civil Service (Preliminary) Examination. That means all candidates willing to apply for Indian Forest Service Examination will have to appear for Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination. If qualified, then only candidates may opt for 2nd Stage of Indian Forest Service Examination (Main Written Examination and Interview).
The application form is same and available online for both IFSE and CSE
Educational Qualification Norms: Bachelor’s degree with at least any of the following subjects — Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering
Age Limits: Candidates must have attained 21yrs but below 30yrs as on 01-08-2013. Upper age relaxation for reserved category is as per Govt. norms. (Refer the advt. for details)

UPSC will hold a Screening Test for selection of candidates to Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination,2013 through Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2013 which will be held on 26th May, 2013
The e-Admission Certificate will be emailed to the eligible candidates three weeks before commencement of the examination, as well as can be also downloaded from the website of UPSC — www.upsc.gov.in
Application Fee: Candidates must pay Application Fee of Rs.100/- by depositing the money in any branch of SBI by cash or by using Net banking facility (Credit/ Debit card of any associates banks of SBI).
Fee payment slip can be print-out from the website during online application process.
SC/ST/PH and all women candidates are not require to pay Application Fee.
Last Date of the Application: The Online application form can be filled till 4th April 2013 (Midnight)
