Visakhapatnam Port Trust (VIZAG), Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Department, is recruiting 99 candidates as “Trade Apprentices” in the trades of – Welder, Electrician, Fitter, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Machinist, Carpenter, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic and Electronics Mechanic. Eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format within below scheduled date. Qualification norms and brief details is given below —

TRADE APPRENTICES
Number of Vacancies: 99 Nos.

Trade wise vacancies —

1. Welder: 17 Nos. 
2. Electrician: 25 Nos. 
3. Fitter: 30 Nos. 
4. Mechanic (Motor Vehicle): 15 Nos. 
5. Machinist: 05 Nos. 
6. Carpenter: 4 Nos. 
7. Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic: 1 Nos. 
8. Electronics Mechanic: 2 Nos. 

Educational Qualification: Passed ITI in the above mentioned respective trades.

Age Limit: Minimum 14 (Fourteen) years as on 31/08/2013. Reservation to the vacancies for reserved categories is as per Govt. norms.

The period of training will be for One year (2yrs for Carpenter trade).  Stipend during training will be Rs.1490/, Rs.1700/- and Rs.1970/- for first year, second year and third year of training period respectively.

Selection of the Trade Apprentices will be made purely on merit, on the basis of aggregate marks obtained by the candidate in ITI.
