Public Service Commission, West Bengal, is going to hold West Bengal Civil Service (Exe.) etc. Examination-2013. The qualified candidates from this examination will be recruited for various West Bengal Civil Services, Tax Services, Co operative Services and other services. Interested candidates may apply only on prescribed Application Form. Qualification norms and eligibility requirement in brief is given below—
The examination will be in two stages – (i) Preliminary Examination (Objective Types) and (ii) Main Examination (Written Test) followed by Personality Test.
Qualified candidates from Preliminary Examination will be called for Main Examination and then Personality Test.
The preliminary test will be at various centres in Kolkata and in certain other districts in West Bengal
The West Bengal Civil Service (Executive) Examination is to be treated as combines Competitive Examination. The qualified candidates from this Examination will be later recruited in various Services of West Bengal.
The examination is divided in four group and candidates may choose any one or more group by mentioning it in the form. As per Group, candidates will be recruited in various West Bengal Services which falls in that particular group. (Refer the Advt. for details)
The number of vacancies in each Group will be announced later.
Qualification Required: Degree from recognised University and must have ability to read, write and speak Bengali (Not applicable for Nepali speaking candidates from Hill area and Darjeeling district)
Age Limits: between 21yrs to 32yrs as on 01-01-2013. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST—5yrs; BC—3yrs and PH—10yrs. Only candidates from West Bengal will receive age relaxation. Candidates from other States must apply as General Candidates.

Application fee: Candidates must pay Rs.210/- in form of Indian Postal Order which must be purchased on a date after publication of this advertisement and crossed and endorsed to THE SECRETARY, PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION, WEST BENGAL, or in the form of a receipted challan from a Government Treasury in West Bengal or the Reserve Bank of India, Kolkata under the head “0051-00-105-State PSC Examination fees-001- Examination fees-16 other fees”.
SC/ST/PH candidates of West Bengal is exempted from Application fee.
Candidates should enclose Attested copies of testimonials such as Qualification Certificate, Age proof, Caste certificate and Etc. Enclose 2 copies of passport size photographs (one copy pasted on the form) and 2 Nos. Self-addressed envelope with affixing any postal address.
