West Bengal Disaster Management Department (WBDMD)  is inviting application from the eligible candidates for 11 posts of Capacity Building Officer, Documentation Officer, Disaster Management Specialist and Disaster Professional. WEST BENGAL DISASTER MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT (WBDMD) IS INVITING APPLICATION FOR 11 POSTS OF CAPACITY BUILDING OFFICER, DOCUMENTATION OFFICER, DISASTER MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST AND DISASTER PROFESSIONAL. LAST DATE — 16/08/2016

 

STATE LEVEL VACANCIES:

1. Capacity Building Officer: 01 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Post Graduate degree/diploma or equivalent in any of the disciplines under Social Sciences, Management, Disaster Management and/or relevant fields.
Experience: At least 10 years experience in the development sector having relevance to disaster management.
Candidates must have Fluency in writing and in speaking English. Fluency in spoken Bengali and Work experience in government, especially at the state level, and civil society organization specifically in managing training programmes.
Age Limit: Maximum-50 years as on date of publication in the newspaper.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.50,000/- per month.

 

2. Documentation officer: 01 Nos.
Educational Qualification: University degree in Social Science/Rural development / Management / Mass communication
Candidates must have 3-5 years’ experience in handling documentation work at the state / national
level and Fluency in writing and in speaking English. Fluency in spoken Bengali
Desirable: Understanding of the working of state Govt.
Age Limit: Maximum-50 years as on date of publication in the newspaper.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.40,000/- per month.

 

3. Disaster Management Specialist: 01 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Post-graduate in Management, Urban/ Rural Planning, Social Sciences, Disaster Management and/or relevant fields.
Candidates having completed Certificate courses would be preferred.
Experience: At least 10 years’ experience in the development sector having relevance to disaster management
Candidates should have work experience in government/national and international agencies and civil
society organization and Fluency in writing and in speaking English. Fluency in spoken Bengali
Age Limit: Maximum-50 years as on date of publication in the newspaper.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.50,000/- per month.

 

DISTRICT LEVEL VACANCIES:

4. Disaster Professional: 08 Nos. (01 post at each of the below mentioned district)
Districts — Darjeeling, Kolkata (KMC), Alipurduar, North 24 Parganas, South 24 Parganas, Paschim Medinipur, Jalpaiguri and Purba Medinipur
Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree.
Candidates must be Fluency in writing and in speaking English and Fluency in spoken Bengali
Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in related fields of disaster management
Desirable: Degree / Diploma in Disaster Management
Age Limit: Maximum-40 years as on date of publication in the newspaper.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.40,000/- per month.
