1. Trainee – Operator/ Technician
— Fitter: 125 posts. (UR—65; OBC—21; SC—27; ST—7; PWD—3; Sportsperson—2)
— Electrician: 135 posts. (UR—64; OBC—13; SC—29; ST—13; PWD—4; Sportsperson—2)
Qualification: 50% marks in Madhyamik or equivalent examination and Trade Certificate (ITI) under NCVT from any recognized Industrial Training Institute in the trade of Fitter / Electrician (2yrs duration) respectively.
Pay Band: Rs.6300—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.2600/-

 

2. Assistant Sub Inspector (Security): 20 posts. (UR—3; OBC-A—3; SC—8; ST—3; PWD—2; Sportsperson—1)
Qualification: Ex-serviceman with relevant qualification are only eligible. See officially released advertisement for more details.
Pay Band: Rs.6300—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.2600/-

 

3. Staff Nurse: 10 posts. (UR—5; OBC-B—1; SC—2; ST—1; PWD—1)
Qualification: Higher Secondary (Class XII Board) and having Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery from any statutory institute recognized by the Indian Nursing Council. Candidates having one year working experience in OT and inpatient department will be preferred.
Pay Band: Rs.6300—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.3600/-

 

4. Security Officer: 04 posts. (UR—2; SC—1; ST—1)
Qualification: Ex-Servicemen with relevant qualification are eligible. See officially released advertisement for more details.
Pay Band: Rs.15600—39100 and Grade Pay: Rs.5400/-

 

5. Stenographer: 20 posts. (UR—8; OBC—4; SC—6; ST—1; PWD—1; Sportsperson—1)
Qualification: Graduate with 50% marks in aggregate or Honours Graduate in any discipline from any university recognized by the UGC having proficiency in English language. Candidates must know operation of MS Office with minimum speed of 100 words per minute in shorthand and Computer key depression speed of 8000 per hour. Knowledge of typing in Bengali font is desirable.

6. Office Executive: 25 posts. (UR—12; OBC—4; SC—6; ST—2; PWD—2; Sportsperson—1)
Qualification: Graduate with 50% marks in aggregate or Honours Graduate in any discipline from any university recognized by the UGC with proficiency in operation of MS Office.

7. Assistant Teacher.

Qualification:
For Assistant Teacher positions other than Work Education, candidates must be Honours graduate in respective discipline from any university recognized by the UGC with at least 50% marks in the Honours subject at graduation level having either of the desired pass subjects as mentioned against each below (refer Table in PDF file below) along with Degree in Bachelor of Education (B. Ed).
Candidates applying for Post Graduate grade pay must have secured at least 50% marks in respective Honours subject at Graduate level and also at Post Graduate level in the respective subject along with Degree in Bachelor of Education (B. Ed).
For Assistant Teacher position in Work Education, candidates must be Honours Graduate in Bengali with at least 50% marks in the Honours Subject and must have PGBT or Work Education as a subject in B.Ed. in regular course from a Teachers’ Training Institution duly recognized by the NCTE in relevant academic session or have Degree / Diploma in Work Education curriculum awarded by any University.

Pay Band: Rs.9000—40500 with Grade Pay: Rs.4700 for Honours Graduate and Grade Pay: Rs.4800 for Post Graduate candidates.

 

8. Assistant Manager (PS)—
— Mechanical: 8 posts (OBC—5; ST—2; PWD—1)
— Electrical: 6 posts. (OBC—4; ST—1; PWD—1)
— Instrumentation: 6 posts. (OBC-A—3; ST—1; PH—2)
Qualification: B. E. / B. Tech (4 Yrs fulltime) in Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering from any recognized university or reputed Institute approved by AICTE having 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA.
Candidates awaiting final year result are also eligible to apply.
Pay Band: Rs.15600—39100 and Grade Pay: Rs.5400/-

 

9. Assistant Manager (Legal) – Probationer: 02 (UR—1; SC—1)
Qualification: 5 yrs integrated degree in Law from any university recognized by UGC and approved by the Bar Council of India. Candidates must have at least 01 year post qualification experience as legal practitioner or as an officer in a large industry / institute / legal firm / commercial house etc. in handling Labour, Industrial, Commercial, Civil, Criminal, Service matters or in judicial service.
Pay Band: Rs.15600—39100 and Grade Pay: Rs.5400/-

 

Age Limit (For all posts): Minimum 18 years and maximum 30 years as on 01-01-2014. Upper age relaxation is 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC (Non Creamy Layer) candidates and 10 years for PWD candidates. Relaxation for Ex-servicemen will be as per govt. norms.

 

Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test and Interview. There will be practical/demo test or group discussion for some posts, wherever applicable. See officially released advertisement for more details.
The Written Test will be held in KOLKATA only.

 

Application Fee: General and OBC candidates shall pay Rs.300/- through any branch of SBI using SBI Collect facility. Upon submission of Application Fee, candidates should re-login in the official website of WBPDCL and shall update their fee details in the online Application form.
