WEST BENGAL AUDIT AND ACCOUNTS SERVICE RECRUITMENT EXAMINATION, 2017

No. of Vacancies: 153 Nos. (57; SC-42; OBC A-22; OBC B-12; PH-09)

 

Educational Qualification: A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce of a recognized University or Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or Membership of the Institute of Costs and Works Accountants of India.

Essential: Candidates must have ability to read, write and speak in Bengali (not required for those candidates whose mother tongue is Nepali)

 

Age Limit: Not more than 36 years as on 01.01.2017 (i.e. born not earlier than 2nd January, 1981).

 

Pay Scale: Rs.15,600/- to 42,000/- and Grade Pay Rs. 5,400/-

 

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through West Bengal Audit and Accounts Service Recruitment Examination which will be in two stages, ie. – (i) Preliminary Examination (Objective Multiple Choice Question) and (ii) Main Examination (Conventional Type) followed by Personality Test.

The Preliminary Examination will be held at various centres in Kolkata and Darjeeling on 2nd July, 2017.

The Main Examination will be held in Kolkata only.

On basis of the West Bengal Audit and Accounts Service Recruitment Examination, 2017, recruitment will be made to the posts in the West Bengal Audit and Accounts Service.

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.210/- as Examination Fee. Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking OR can be paid through Bank by means of fee payment Challan. NO EXAMINATION FEE REQUIRED IN CASE OF SC/ST CANDIDATES OF WEST BENGAL AND PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES (PWD).

NO EXEMPTION OF FEE IS AVAILABLE TO SC/ST/BC CANDIDATES OF OTHER STATES.

 

How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply online only through the official website of West Bengal Public Service Commission (West Bengal PSC) — www.pscwb.org.in (See Application form’s link given below) from dated 24/04/2017 to 15/05/2017 (Till Midnight)

Candidates have to first go for “One Time Registration” (link available on top of the left panel in home page of the website www.pscwbonline.gov.in) and fill up all the required data and uploading scanned photo and signature to get User ID and Password. However, those candidates who have earlier registered themselves with PSC, West Bengal need not to do registration again. They can use their previous User Id and Password for login into their respective Dashboards. After login into the Dashboard, candidates will find the name of the Examination with Apply Now link. Click on the link and the application form will be opened.

 

Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip with unique registration number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO ANYWHERE AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
