On the basis of the results of West Bengal Civil Service (Exe) etc. Examination, 2018, the recruitment will be made in the following different West Bengal Services:
GROUP – A
(i) West Bengal Civil Service (Executive).
(ii) West Bengal Commercial Tax Service.
(iii) West Bengal Agricultural Income tax Service.
(iv) West Bengal Excise Service.
(v) West Bengal Co-operative Service.
(vi) West Bengal Labour Service.
(vii) West Bengal Food and Supplies Service.
(viii) West Bengal Employment Service [Except the post of Employment Officer (Technical)].
(ix) West Bengal Registration and Stamp Revenue Service.
GROUP – B
(i) West Bengal Police Service
GROUP – C
(i) Superintendent, District Correctional Home / Deputy Superintendent, Central Correctional Home.
(ii) Joint Block Development Officer.
(iii) Deputy Assistant Director of Consumer Affairs and Fair Business Practices.
(iv) West Bengal Junior Social Welfare Service.
(v) West Bengal Subordinate Land Revenue Service, Grade-I.
(vi) Assistant Commercial Tax Officer.
(vii) Assistant Canal Revenue Officer (Irrigation).
(viii) Chief Controller of Correctional Services.
GROUP – D
(i) Inspector of Co-operative Societies.
(ii) Panchayat Development Officer under the Panchayat and Rural Development Department.
(iii) Rehabilitation Officer under the Refugee Relief and Rehabilitation Department.

Educational Qualification: A degree of a recognized University AND ability to read, write and speak in Bengali (not required for those candidates whose mother tongue is Nepali).
Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 36 years as on 01.01.2018
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Requirement for West Bengal Police Service: Candidates willing to apply for the vacancies under West Bengal Police Service must meet the prescribed physical standards. The minimum height of the male candidates should be 1.65 metres (1.5 metres for female candidates). Relaxation in height for candidates belonging to different races such as Gorkhas, Garwalis, Assamese Tibals, ets will be as per rules. (See official advt.)
Candidates’ Selection: The selection of the candidates will be through W.B.C.S. (Exe.) etc. Examination which includes Written Examination (Preliminary Examination & Main Examination) and Personality Test. The Preliminary Examination will be held tentatively on the 28th January, 2018 at various centers namely 01–Kolkata (North), 02–Kolkata (South), 03–Baruipur, 04–Diamond Harbour, 05–Barrackpore, 06–Barasat, 07–Howrah, 08–Burdwan, 09–Asansol, 10–Medinipur, 11–Tamluk, 12–Bankura, 13–Berhampore, 14–Malda, 15–Jalpaiguri, 16–Alipurduar, 17–Cooch Behar, 18–Siliguri, 19-Kalimpong and 20–Darjeeling.

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.210/- as Examination Fee. Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking OR can be paid through Bank by means of fee payment Challan. NO EXAMINATION FEE REQUIRED IN CASE OF SC/ST CANDIDATES OF WEST BENGAL AND PWD CANDIDATES.
NOTE: Candidates belonging to Reserve Category from outside the state of West Bengal will be treated as General Category candidates.

Candidates should register themselves by clicking the link “One Time Registration” after which they can login to their dashboard in order to proceed to online application form. Candidates who have registered earlier may directly login to their dashboard.
Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip with unique registration number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO ANYWHERE AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
