POST GRADUATE ASSISTANT TEACHER
No. of Vacancies: 04 Nos.
Subject wise vacancies:
(i) Political Science – 02 (OBC A-01; ST-01)
(ii) Geography – 01 (PD- Blindness or Low Vision)
(iii) History – 01 (OBC-B)
Note – Medium of teaching for all above subject is English.
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in the concerned subject from a recognized University.
AND should have passed Madhyamik or Higher Secondary Examination from any English Medium School of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education/West Bengal Council for Higher Secondary Education, or its equivalent examination with English as first language.
Desirable: A degree in Teaching or Education of a recognized University or its equivalent.
NOTE: CANDIDATES MUST HAVE ABILITY TO READ, WRITE AND SPEAK IN BENGALI (NOT REQUIRED FOR THOSE WHOSE MOTHER TONGUE IS NEPALI.
Age Limit: Not more than 36 years as on 01/01/2017
Pay Scale: Rs.9,000/- – Rs.40,500/- with Grade Pay Rs.4,800/-
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Interview. If the number of applicants applying for the vacancies is large then commission may conduct Screening Test.

How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply online only through the official website of Public Service Commission, West Bengal (PSCWB) — http://www.pscwb.org.in (See Application form’s link given below) from dated 24/04/2017 to 15/05/2017 (Till Midnight)
Candidates have to first go for “One Time Registration” (link available on top of the left panel in home page of the website www.pscwbonline.gov.in) and fill up all the required data and uploading scanned photo and signature to get User ID and Password. However, those candidates who have earlier registered themselves with PSC, West Bengal need not to do registration again. They can use their previous User Id and Password for login into their respective Dashboards. After login into the Dashboard, candidates will find the name of the Examination with Apply Now link. Click on the link and the application form will be opened.
Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip with unique registration number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO ANYWHERE AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
