WEST BENGAL STAFF SELECTION COMMISSION (WEST BENGAL SSC) INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR 06 POSTS OF CHAUFFER, TRANSPORT ATTENDANT AND TAILOR. LAST DATE — 17/05/2016

 

1. Chauffeur (Group “C”): 03 Nos. (UR-01, SC-01, BC(A)-01)
Educational Qualification: Madhyamik Examination or equivalent examination with valid Driving license for small and heavy vehicles with at least 5 years’ experience and knowledge of minor repair of small and heavy vehicles.
Age Limit: Not below 18 years and not more than 40 years as on 01.01.2016
Pay Scale: Rs.5400/- Rs.25200/- and Grade Pay Rs.2600/-

 

2. Transport Attendant (Group “C”): 01 Nos. (UR-01, SC-01)
Educational Qualification: Madhyamik Examination or equivalent examination.
Age Limit: Not below 18 years and not more than 40 years as on 01.01.2016
Pay Scale: Rs.5400/- Rs.25200/- and Grade Pay Rs.1900/-

 

3. Tailor (Group “C”): 02 Nos. (UR-01, SC-01)
Educational Qualification: Madhyamik Examination or equivalent examination and Certificate of merit with 05 years practical experience as a Tailor.
Age Limit: Not below 18 years and not more than 40 years as on 01.01.2016
Pay Scale: Rs.5400/- Rs.25200/- and Grade Pay Rs.2100/-

 

CANDIDATES MUST HAVE THE ABILITY TO READ, WRITE AND SPEAK IN BENGALI (NOT APPLICABLE TO THOSE CANDIDATES WHOSE MOTHER TONGUE IS NEPALI)

 

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any – As per Govt. norms.

Candidates belonging to reserved category of other state will be treated as General candidates

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Competitive Examination. The mode of examination, either OFFLINE or ONLINE, will be decided by the Commission and the same will be published in Commission’s website in due course.

Exact Date, Time and Venue for examination/interview will be intimated to the eligible candidates in due course as well as such information will be also available in the official website of West Bengal Staff Selection Commission.

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.220/- (Rs.20/-as processing fee in case of SC, ST candidates of West Bengal) as Examination Fee. Fee can be paid through online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking or any other option available. How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply online only through the official website of West Bengal Staff Selection Commission — www.wbssc.gov.in (See link to Application form given below) on or before 17/05/2016

Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip with unique registration number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO ANYWHERE AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.

Candidates facing inconvenience while filling online application or having no internet connect may submit their application form through authorized Tathya Mitra Kendras set up by the Government of West Bengal up to the level of Gram Panchayats in the rural areas of West Bengal. The Examination fees and / or Processing fees have to be paid to the Tathya Mitra Kendras. The Kendra will take Service charge of Rs.20/- extra for filling up of the form and uploading the same along with Scanned Copies of Candidate’s Photograph and Signature and making online payment of Examination Fees and / or Processing Fees received from the applicant.
