West Bengal Staff Selection Commission (WBSSC) is inviting application from the eligible candidates for 131 posts of Deputy Ranger/ Forester. WEST BENGAL STAFF SELECTION COMMISSION (WBSSC) INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR 131 POSTS OF DEPUTY RANGER/ FORESTER. LAST DATE — 04/12/2015 (upto 4 PM)

 

1. Deputy Ranger/ Forester: 131 Nos. (UR-54, UR (ESM)-04, SC – 45, SC (ESM)-01, ST -09, BC:A -11, BC:B -07)

Educational Qualification: Passed Higher Secondary Examination or its equivalent on or before 06.11.2015.

 

Candidates should meets the following Physical Standards: –

Male Candidates: Height – 163 cms (152.5 cms for Gorkhas, Garwalies, Rajbansis and ST); Chest (unexpanded/ expanded) – 84cms/89cms (79cms/84cms for Gorkhas, Garwalies, Rajbansis and ST)

Female Candidates: Height – 150cms (145cms for Gorkhas, Garwalies, Rajbansis and ST); Chest (unexpanded/ expanded) – 79cms/84cms (74cms/79cms for Gorkhas, Garwalies, Rajbansis and ST)

Note: The candidates must have sound hearing faculty, eye sight and general fitness for undertaking arduous outdoor work in the Forest Directorate.
In the case of defective vision, it must be corrected to at least 6/9 in the better eye and 6/12 in the other eye but the candidate must not suffer from colour blindness or congenital or other diseases of the eye.

 

Age Limit: Between 20 years and 32 years as on 01/01/2015, i.e. Candidates Born between 02.01.1983 and 02.01.1995 shall only be eligible for the Post.

Upper Age Relaxation: 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC. For Ex-Servicemen – as per Govt. norms. Age relaxation is applicable only to SC/ST, OBC candidates of West Bengal.

 

Pay Scale: Rs. 5,400/- – 25,200/- and Grade Pay: Rs.2900/-

 

Candidates’ Selection: The selection process will be carried by Staff Selection Commission of West Bengal. Candidates shall have to appear at a Written Examination, Physical Efficiency Test, Physical Measurement Test and Personality Test.

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.220 (including processing fee of Rs.20/-). SC/ST candidates should pay Rs.20/- only as processing fee as they are exempted from paying any Examination fees as Examination Fee. Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking or any other option available. Application form can be submitted through Online or can be submitted through any authorized Tathya Mitra Kendra from 6th Nov, 2015 to 4th Dec, 2015 (upto 4 PM)

Upon successful submission of online application form, the system generated Registration Slip with unique Registration Number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future references. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/DOCUMENTS TO WBSSC AT THIS STAGE.
