SCIENTIFIC ASSISTANT 2016 (EXAM CODE: SA – 16)

1. Scientific Assistant (Physics): 01 post (UR-01)
Qualification: A degree in Science having Physics as one of the subjects from a recognized University or equivalent and 02 years in Laboratory work.
2. Scientific Assistant (Biology): 01 post (BC (B)-01)
Qualification: A degree in Science having Zoology/ Botany/ Physiology/ Anthropology/ Chemistry as one of the subjects from a recognized University or equivalent and Two years’ experience in Laboratory work.
3. Scientific Assistant (Serology): 01 post (SC-01)
Qualification: A degree in Science having Zoology/ Botany/ Physiology/ Anthropology/ Chemistry as one of the subjects from a recognized University or equivalent and Two years’ experience in Laboratory work.
4. Scientific Assistant (Toxicology): 04 posts (UR-02, ST-01, BC(A)-01)
Qualification: A degree in Science having Chemistry as one of the subjects from a recognized University or equivalent and Two years’ experience in Laboratory work.
5. Scientific Assistant (Ballistics): 03 posts (UR-02, PH-LV-01,SC-01)
Qualification: A degree in Science having Physics as one of the subjects from a recognized University or equivalent and Two years’ experience in Laboratory work.
Desirable (For all above posts): Experience of work in a recognized Forensic Science Laboratory.
Age Limit: Minimum -18 years and maximum-32 years as on 01/01/2016.
Pay Scale: Rs.7100/- Rs.37600/- and Grade Pay Rs.3600/-
ASSISTANT MASTER/MISTRESS IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION (EXAM CODE: MPE – 16)

Assistant Master /Assistant Mistress (Physical Education): 07 posts (UR-04, SC-02, ST-01, PH-LV-01)
Qualification: A University Degree with Post-Graduate Diploma in Physical Education of a recognized Physical Training Centre or Institution.
Age Limit: Minimum -18 years and maximum-32 years as on 01.01.2016
Pay Scale: Rs.7100/- Rs.37600/- and Grade Pay Rs.4100/-
IMPORTANT: Candidates must have the ability to read, write and speak in Bengali (not applicable to those candidates whose mother tongue is Nepali).
Upper Age Relaxation (for all above posts): Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PWD & as per Govt. norms for Ex-Servicemen & others.
SC / ST / BC- A/ BC-B CANDIDATES OF OTHER STATES WILL BE TREATED AS UNRESERVED CANDIDATES.
Selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination. The West Bengal Staff Selection Commission shall have the discretion to prescribe the scheme and syllabus for this examination.
The Examination will be either OFFLINE or ONLINE. Exact mode will be intimated to the candidates in due course and same will be published in Commission’s website — www.wbssc.gov.in

Examination Fee: Rs.220/- for Unreserved/General & OBC candidates, including Processing fee, (SC/ST candidates should pay Rs.20/- only as Processing fee) is to be paid as Examination Fee.
Fee can be paid Online through payment gateway using Debit Cards / Credits Cards or Net banking of any bank.
How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply online only through the official website of West Bengal Staff Selection Commission — www.wbssc.gov.in (See link to Application form given below) from dated 27/07/2016 to 30/08/2016.
Candidates applying online will require to upload their scanned copy of their passport size photograph and full signature.
Upon successful submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip with unique registration number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO THE COMMISSION’S OFFICE AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.

NOTE: Candidates facing inconvenience while submitting online application or do not have access to Internet connection may submit their application form through their nearby Tathya Mitra Kendras set up by the Government of West Bengal up to the level of Gram Panchayats in the rural areas of West Bengal.
The Tathya Mitra Kendra will take Service charge of Rs.20/- extra for filling up of the form and uploading the same along with Scanned Copies of Candidate’s Photograph and Signature and making online payment of Examination Fees and / or Processing Fees received from the applicant.
