- TECHNICAL ASSISTANT (MECHANICAL ENGINEERING): 07 posts (SC – 02, ST – 2, BC: A – 01, BC: B – 02)
- TECHNICAL ASSISTANT (ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING): 08 posts (HI – 01, MSP – 01, SC – 05, BC: A – 01)
- TECHNICAL ASSISTANT (ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING): 07 Posts. (UR – 04, SC – 01, ST – 01, BC: B – 01)
- TECHNICAL ASSISTANT (CIVIL ENGINEERING): 05 Posts. (UR– 01, SC – 02, BC: A – 01, BC: B – 01)
- TECHNICAL ASSISTANT (COMPUTER SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY): 07 Posts. (UR – 01, LM or CP – 01, MSP – 01, SC – 03, BC: A – 01)
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: Diploma in respective branch of Engineering / Technology (i.e. Mechanical /Electrical / Electronics & Communication / Civil / Computer Science & Technology from West Bengal State Council of Technical Education or its equivalent.
AND 03 years experience in any industry / institution in the appropriate field.
The Candidate must be able to read and write in Bengali and English.
Age Limit (For all above posts/discipline): Not less than 21 years and not more than 32 years as on 01/01/2016.. Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any – As per Govt. norms.
Pay Scales (For all above posts/discipline): Rs.7100/- – Rs.37600/- and Grade Pay – Rs.4100/- per month.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection will be through Online Test/ Written Examination. On basis of test/examination, candidates will be shortlisted and will be called for Interview.
Selection process will be carried by West Bengal SSC.

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.220/- (including processing) is to be paid by General and OBC candidates. SC/ST, PWD candidates should pay Rs.20/- only (processing fee), as Examination Fee. Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking or any other option available. See officially released advertisement for more details.
NOTE: Upper age relaxation and fee exemption (if applicable), is available to only SC/ST, OBC candidates of West Bengal. Reserved categories of other States will be treated as General/ Unreserved categories.

Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/Acknowledgement Slip with unique registration number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO WEST BENGAL SSC AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.

Applicants facing inconvenience while filling online application or candidates not having internet access may submit their online Application Form through authorized TATHYA MITRA Kendras. Applicants may approach any of the Tathya Mitra Kendras (list provided in the website) with all particulars and a passport size photograph. The authorized staff of the Kendra will fill up the online application form on the basis of information provided by the applicant. Tathya Mitra Kendra may charge Rs.20/- extra as service charge.
