West Bengal PSC – WB Forest Service & WB Sub-Ordinate Forest Service Examination-2013. 142 Vacancies. Last Dt. 09/09/2013

West Bengal Public Service Commission (PSCWB) is going to hold West Bengal Forest Service and West Bengal Sub-ordinate Forest Service Examination, 2013 for recruitment to the posts in West Bengal Forest Service and West Bengal Sub-ordinate Forest Service. Total vacancies— 142.  Interested and eligible candidates may apply on prescribed application format. Advertisement No.06/2013. Qualification norms and eligibility criteria in brief is given below —

West Bengal Forest Service (WBFS) and West Bengal Sub-ordinate Forest Service Examination (WBSFS), 2013

Numbers of vacancies in WBFS and WBSFS is as follows —
For W.B.F.S.:  17 Nos. (Unreserved – 09, SC – 04, ST – 01, BC-A – 02 and BC-B – 01).
For W.B.S.F.S.: 125 Nos. (Unreserved – 68, SC – 28, ST – 08, BC-A – 12 and BC-B – 09).

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Science or Engineering with at least one of the following subjects — Agriculture, Botany, Chemistry, Computer Science, Computer Applications, Agricultural Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Science, Forestry, Geology, Horticulture, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Veterinary Science, Zoology.

Essential: Candidates must be proficient in language Bengali i.e. ability to Read, Write and Speak (not required for recruitment in the case of Nepali speaking candidates from hill areas of the district Darjeeling, i.e. three sub-divisions – Darjeeling Sadar, Kurseong and Kalimpong).

Physical Requirement:
Male: Heigth—163cms (152 cms for ST, Gorkha, Nepali, Garwali), Chest (unexpanded/ expanded)—84/ 89cms.
Female: Height—150cms (145 cms for ST, Gorkha, Nepali, Garwali), Chest (unexpanded/ expanded)— 79/ 84cms.

Age Limit: Minimum 21yrs and maximum 32yrs as on 01-01-2013. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC and ST candidates of West Bengal and by 3 years for BC candidates of West Bengal.

SC, ST and BC candidates of other States may apply for unreserved vacancies as General candidates.

Pay Scales —
For WBFS: Rs.15600—42000 and Grade Pay: Rs.5400 plus other allowances as per norms.
For WBSFS: Rs.7100—37600 and Grade Pay: Rs.3900 plus other allowances as per norms.

Candidates’ Selection:
The Examination will be held in three successive parts, namely —  (i) Preliminary Examination (Objective Type), (ii) Main Examination (Conventional Type-Written) and (iii) Personality Test.
 Candidates qualified from Preliminary Examination will be called for Main Written Examination and then qualified candidates from Main Examination will be called for Personality Test.
The preliminary examination will be held at various centres in — Kolkata, Siliguri and Darjeeling.

The Main Examination will be held in Kolkata only. The Personality Test of the candidates to be selected on the results of the main examination will be held at the Commission’s office in Kolkata.
Exact date, time, venue of Examination will be intimated to the eligible candidates in due course through Admit card.

Application Fee:
Candidates must enclose with their application a fee of Rs.210/- only by Indian Postal Order crossed and endorsed to the — Secretary, Public Service Commission, West Bengal OR by a receipted challan from a Govt. Treasury in West Bengal of the Reserve Bank of India, Kolkata under the head — “0051-00-105-State PSC Examination fees-001-Examination fees-16 other fees”.
The Postal Orders should be made payable at G.P.O., Kolkata.

SC/ST candidates of West Bengal are not required to pay any fee.

The Application form must be enclosed with —

• I.P.O./Treasury Challan, in original, for Rs.210/- only (not required for SC/ST candidates of West Bengal),
• One copy of his/her recent passport size photograph signed by him/her and pasted on the application
• Attested or Self-certified photocopies of certificates of age and prescribed educational qualification
• Attested or Self-certified photocopies of documents issued by competent authority in favour of SC/ST/BC (where necessary)
• Two unstamped self-addressed envelopes

The top of the Application form containing envelope must be superscribe as “ADVERTISEMENT NO.06/2013 : WEST BENGAL FOREST SERVICE AND WEST BENGAL SUB-ORDINATE FOREST SERVICE EXAMINATION, 2013”.

Candidates may also submit the Application form along with enclosures in person at the enquiry counter of the Commission’s office at — 161-A, S.P. Mukherjee Road, Kolkata – 700 026 between 11-00 a.m. and 03-30 p.m. on all working days

Last Date of Application: In any case, i.e. by Hand or by Post, the Application form must reach/submitted on or before 19th SEPTEMBER, 2013.
