Electronics & Comm., Food Processing), Chemistry, Humanities, Mathematics, Physics, Printing Technology and Survey Engineering. 1. Architectural Engineering: 02 Nos.
Educational Qualification: First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture. If have done Master’s degree in the subject, then first class should be either in Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree.
Age Limit: Not more than 37 years as on 01/01/2015
Consolidated Pay: Rs.21000/- per month per month.

 

2. Automobile Engineering: 02 Nos.
Educational Qualification: First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Automobile Engineering or Technology. If have done Master’s degree in the subject, then first class should be either in Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree.
Age Limit: Not more than 37 years as on 01/01/2015
Consolidated Pay: Rs.21000/- per month per month.

 

3. Civil Engineering: 16 Nos.

Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree in Economics or English or Commerce with First Class from a recognized University

11. Mathematics: 15 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree in Mathematics with First Class from a recognized University

12. Physics: 16 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree in Physics with First Class from a recognized University

13. Mechanical Engineering: 13 Nos.
Educational Qualification: First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. If have done Master’s degree in the subject, then first class should be either in Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree.

14. Metallurgical Engineering: 02 Nos.
Educational Qualification: First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgical Engineering. If have done Master’s degree in the subject, then first class should be either in Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree.

16. Survey Engineering: 10 Nos.
Educational Qualification: First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Survey Engineering or in Architecture or Civil Engineering or Mining Engineering with Survey Engineering as elective or compulsory subject(s). If have done Master’s degree in the said subject, then first class should be either in Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree.
Age Limit: Not more than 37 years as on 01/01/2015

Important: Beside above mentioned educational qualification, candidates must be able to read, write and speak in Bengali.

 

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PWD & as per Govt. norms for Ex-Servicemen & others

 

The above vacancies are for various Government Polytechnics in West Bengal. All posts are purely contractual for duration of 6 months only or till filling up of the posts by the P.S.C., W.B. whichever is earlier

 

Candidates’ Selection: The candidates will be selected on the basis of a written Examination and Interview. The written Examination (MCQ type in concerned Technical Subject) will be of 60 marks and candidates securing 25 marks and above in the written Examination will be called for a personal interview of 40 marks for final selection.

The written examination is scheduled to be held on 06/01/2016, the applicants may download their Admit Card from the web portal from 26/12/2015.
