SECURITY PERSONNEL AND X-RAY SCREENERS
No. of Vacancies: 176 Nos. (GEN-95, SC-23, ST-18, OBC-40)
Educational Qualification:
A) For candidates with valid BCAS Basic AVSEC (12 days new pattern) Certificate:-
i) Graduate in any discipline (minimum 03 years duration) from any recognized University with ability to speak Hindi, English and conversant with local language.
ii) Must possess valid BCAS Basic AVSEC (12 days new pattern) Certificate.
Preferable:
i) BCAS Certified Screener (Valid Certification).
ii) BCAS Certified In-Line Screener (Valid certification).
iii) Passport issued within last five years.
B) For candidates without BCAS Basic AVSEC (12 days new pattern) Certificate:-
Graduate in any discipline (minimum 03 years duration) from any recognized University with ability to speak Hindi, English and conversant with local language.
Preferable:
i) NCC ‘B’/ ‘C’ Certificate.
ii) Proficiency in fire fighting.
iii) Knowledge in Industrial security.
iv) Knowledge in disaster management.
v) Knowledge of unarmed combat.
vi) Legal Knowledge.
vii) Armed forces/ Police back grounds.
viii) Diploma/ Certification course in Computers.
ix) Passport issued within last five years.
Age Limit: Maximum 45 years as on 01.06.2019.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.25000/- to Rs.30000/- per month.
The candidates will be appointed on Fixed Term Contract basis for a period of Three (03) years at Chennai Airport, Chennai.
Only candidates who are domicile of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala, Pondicherry or Lakshadweep Islands are eligible to apply.
The selected candidates will be on Probation for one year.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable as per Govt. norms.
Physical Standards:
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 170 cm (162.5 cm for ST candidates)
(ii) Female Candidates: Height — 157 cm (150 cm for ST candidates)
Cut-off in Physical Standards: For candidates belonging to SC/ OBC, Gorkhas and those hailing from North- East States and Hilly Areas relaxation will be as per Govt. norms. Please see officially released advertisement for more details.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Physical Endurance Test (PET), Written Test and Interview wherever applicable.
