1. ASSISTANT SECTION OFFICER
No. of Vacancies: 500 Nos. (UR-266, SEBC-87, SC-75, ST-72)
Educational Qualification:
i) Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent qualification.
ii) Must have adequate knowledge in Computer Application.
iii) The candidate must be able to read, write and speak Odia fluently and must have-
a) Passed Middle School examination with Odia as a language subject, or
b) Passed Matriculation or equivalent examination with Odia as a medium of examination in non-language subject, or
c) Passed in Odia as Language subject in the final examination of Class VII or above, or educational institution recognized by the Govt. of Odisha or the Central Govt., or
d) Passed a test in Odia in Middle School Standard conducted by the School & Mass Education Department.
Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 32 years as on 01/01/2018.
Pay Scale: Rs.9,300-34,800/- with Grade Pay Rs.4,200/-
The vacancies are under Odisha Secretariat Service under Home Department. The posts are Permanent in nature.
The selected candidates will be on Probation for a period of Two years.
Reserved Category candidates from the states other than Odisha shall be treated as General Candidates.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Examination and Skill Test on Computer. The examination will be held at various centres in the state. The Written Examination is likely to be held on 23/12/2018.
