Indian Railways is inviting application from the eligible candidates for 798 posts of Constable (Ancillary) in Railway Protection Force (RPF) of various Zones of Indian Railways and Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF). Both Male and Female candidates are eligible to apply. CONSTABLE (ANCILLARY)

No. of Vacancies: 798 Nos.

 

Trade wise vacancies:

i) Water Carrier: 452 posts (UR-202, OBC-176, SC-48, ST-26)
ii) Safaiwala: 199 posts (UR-109, OBC-61, SC-20, ST-09)
iii) Washer Man: 49 posts (UR-29, OBC-11, SC-06, ST-03)
iv) Barber: 49 posts (UR-27, OBC-12, SC-07, ST-03)
v) Mali: 07 posts (UR-02, OBC-03, SC-02)
vi) Tailor Grade-III: 20 posts (UR-15, OBC-03, SC-02)
vii) Cobbler Grade-III: 22 posts (UR14, OBC-06, SC-01, ST-01)

 

Educational Qualification: SSLC/ Matric from a recognized Board.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years as on 01/01/2019.
Basic Pay: Rs.19,900/- initially for Tailor & Cobbler and Rs.21,700/- for Water Carrier, Safaiwala, Washer Man, Barber & Mali initially per month.

 

The vacancies are in Railway Protection Force (RPF) of various Zones of Indian Railways and Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF).

Zonal Railways viz. – Eastern Railway, East Central Railway, South Eastern Railway, East Coastal Railway, Southern Railway, South Western Railway, South Central Railway, Central Railway, Western Railway, West Central RAilway, South Eastern Central Railway, Northern Railway, North Eastern Railway, North Western Railway, North Central Railway and North Frontier Railway,

 

Both Male and Female candidates are eligible to apply.

Candidates awaiting results of the Final Examinations are not eligible to apply.

The selected candidates will initially undergo Training in any one of the RPF/ RPSF training centre/ any other such Institution.

 

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.

 

Physical Standards:

(i) Male Candidates: Height — 165 cms (160 cms for SC/ST candidates); Chest (unexpanded) — 80 cms (76.2 cms for SC/ST); Chest (expanded) — 85 cms (81.2 cms for SC/ST)

(ii) Female Candidates: Height — 157 cms (152 cms for SC/ST candidates)

Cut-off in Physical Standards: For candidates belonging to certain categories/ communities or of certain States/Areas; the cut-off in such candidate’s Height/ Chest’s measurement will be as per Govt. norms. Please see officially released advertisement for more details.

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Computer Based Test (CBT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Trade Test, Document Verification and Medical Examination. The Computer Based Test (CBT) will tentatively be held in the month of February and March 2019. The Computer Based Test (CBT) will be held at various centres across India.

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.500/- (Rs.250/- for SC/ ST/ Ex-servicemen/ Female/ Minorities/ EBC) as Examination Fee. Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking OR can be paid through Bank/ Post Office by means of fee payment Challan. How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply online only through the official website of Railway Protection Force and Railway Protection Special Force, Indian Railways — http://www.indianrailways.gov.in (See Application form’s link given below) from dated 01/01/2019 to 30/01/2019.

Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip with unique registration number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO ANYWHERE AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
