AFT Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria required for AFT recruitment are detailed below.

Eligibility Criteria

(1) Principal Private Secretary

  • Eligibility: Officers from Central Government or State Governments, Supreme Court, High Courts, or Statutory Bodies.
  • Desirable: Knowledge in computer operations.

(2) Private Secretary

  • Eligibility:
    • Holding an analogous post in the parent cadre/department on a regular basis.
    • Alternatively, Upper Division Clerks (UDCs) with 10 years of regular service.
    • Must have a degree from a recognized university and at least 2 years of experience in administration, establishment, or accounts.

(3) Assistant

  • Eligibility:
    • Officers holding analogous posts or UDCs in Level-4 of the Pay Matrix with 10 years of regular service.
    • A degree from a recognized university with 2 years of experience in establishment or administration.

(4) Tribunal Master/Stenographer Grade-I

  • Eligibility:
    • (i) holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or Department or
    • (ii) a post in the level-4 of the pay matrix (25500-81100) with 10 years regular service in the grade.

(5) Upper Division Clerk

  • Eligibility:

Officers of the Central Government or State Governments or Tribunal or Commissions or Statutory bodies of Court:-

(i) holding analogous post on a regular basis; or
(ii) holding the post in the pay band-I, Rs. 5200-20200 + grade pay Rs. 1900 with 08 years of regular service.

(6) Stenographer Grade-II

  • Eligibility:
    • Officers holding analogous posts or LDCs with 2 years of regular service in the grade.
    • Must possess a 12th-class pass certificate and a diploma or certificate in Information Technology or Computer.
    • Speed of at least 8000 key depressions per hour for data entry.

(7) Lower Division Clerk

  • Eligibility:
    • Officers holding analogous posts or those with 2 years of regular service in Pay Band-I (Rs. 5,200 – 20,200 with grade pay Rs. 1,900).
    • Must possess a 12th-class pass certificate and relevant computer skills.

(8) Data Entry Operator

  • Eligibility:
    • (a) 12th class pass or equivalent
    • (b) Diploma or Certificate and
    • (c) Knowledge of Data entry or computer operation

Age Limit: The maximum age limit is 56 years.

Eligible officers should submit their application in the prescribed proforma (Annexure-I) through the proper channel. Completed application along with a photocopy of last five years Annual Confidential Report and Vigilance Clearance Certificate of the candidate must be sent to the Registrar, Armed Forces Tribunal Regional Bench, Mumbai, 7th Floor, MTNL Building, AG Bell Marg, Malabar Hill, Mumbai – 400 006.
