Agriculture in India:-
Agriculture is known as the “backbone” of India’s economic structure since it employs two-thirds of the Indian people. In addition to providing raw materials for the main manufacturing sectors, the enormous population is also fed by agriculture in India. The two main food staples in the world, rice, and wheat are produced in India in second place. Presently, India ranks second in the world to produce a variety of dry fruits, agriculturally based textile raw materials, roots, and tuber crops, pulses, farmed fish, eggs, coconut, sugarcane, and a wide range of vegetables. In 2010, India was one of the top five producers in the world of more than 80% of agricultural products, including many cash crops like cotton and coffee. As of 2011, India had one of the five fastest-growing livestock and poultry meat production industries in the world.
Following the pandemic-driven recession, consumer expenditure in India will resume increase in 2021, rising by as much as 6.6%. Due to its enormous potential for value addition, particularly within the food processing industry, the Indian food industry is poised for tremendous expansion, increasing its contribution to the global food trade every year. One of the largest industries in India, food processing accounts for 32% of the country’s overall food market and is rated fifth in terms of production, consumption, export, and expected growth.

ভারতের কৃষিকার্য:-
কৃষিকে ভারতের অর্থনৈতিক কাঠামোর “মেরুদন্ড” বলা হয় কারণ এটি ভারতীয় জনগণের দুই-তৃতীয়াংশ নিয়োগ করে। প্রধান উৎপাদন খাতের জন্য কাঁচামাল সরবরাহ করার পাশাপাশি, বিশাল জনসংখ্যাও ভারতে কৃষি দ্বারা প্রতিপালিত হয়। বিশ্বের দুটি প্রধান খাদ্য, চাল এবং গম, দ্বিতীয় স্থানে ভারতে উৎপাদিত হয়। বর্তমানে বিভিন্ন ধরণের শুকনো ফল, কৃষিভিত্তিক টেক্সটাইল কাঁচামাল, শিকড় এবং কন্দ ফসল, ডাল, চাষকৃত মাছ, ডিম, নারকেল, আখ এবং শাকসবজি উৎপাদনে ভারত বিশ্বের দ্বিতীয় স্থানে রয়েছে। 2010 সালে, তুলা এবং কফির মতো অনেক অর্থকরী ফসল সহ 80% এরও বেশি কৃষি পণ্যের বিশ্বের শীর্ষ পাঁচ উৎপাদকদের মধ্যে ভারত ছিল। 2011 সালের হিসাবে, বিশ্বের পাঁচটি দ্রুত বর্ধনশীল পশুসম্পদ এবং মুরগির মাংস উৎপাদন শিল্পের মধ্যে একটি ভারত ছিল।
