Agriculture Insurance Company of India Limited (AIC) has been formed under the aegis of the Government of India and promoted by 6 Public Sector Companies as a specialty Crop Insurance provider to the Indian farming community. AIC has incorporated on 20th December 2002 with an Authorized Share Capital of INR 1500 crore and a Paid-up Capital of INR 200 crore. AIC commenced business operations on 1st April 2003, by taking over Crop Insurance operations from its major Promoter, General Insurance Corporation of India Ltd. AIC is a specialty and one of the largest Crop Insurance Companies in the Indian non-life Insurance Sector, having a market share of about 50% in Crop Insurance and aiming to cover the huge protection gap lying uninsured with respect to other risks related to agriculture and allied activities of the farmers. Education Qualification (as of 01.01.2023):
- Candidate must possess the minimum qualification as listed in the table below from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by Central Government. Candidates should possess a certificate as proof of passing the qualifying examination as of 01.01.2023 and have to ensure the following :
- Educational qualification should be from a University/Institution/Board recognized by Govt. of India/approved by Govt. Regulatory Bodies and the result should have been declared on or before 01.01.2023
- The candidate must possess a valid mark sheet/Degree Certificate of the necessary qualification as on 01.01.2023
- Percentage marks shall be arrived at by dividing the total marks obtained by the candidate in all the subjects in all the semester(s)/ year(s) by aggregate maximum marks in all the subjects irrespective of Honours / optional/additional optional subject if any. This will be applicable to those Universities also where class/grade is decided on basis of Honours marks only. The fraction of percentage so arrived will be ignored i.e. 59.99% will be treated as less than 60% and the fraction of percentage so arrived i.e. 54.99% will be treated as less than 55%.
- Where CGPA/OGPA is awarded, the candidate will have to produce a certificate issued by the appropriate authority inter alia stating the norms of the University regarding the conversion of grades into percentages and the percentage of marks scored by the candidate in terms of norms.
Age (as of 01.01.2023) :
- Minimum Age: 21 years &
- Maximum Age: 30 years
- i.e. a candidate must have been born not earlier than 1st January 1993 and not later than 31st December 2001 (both dates inclusive).

Selection Process:
- Selection would be based on the performance in the Online Examination and Interview. The final merit list shall be prepared in descending order of the consolidated marks secured by the candidates. Candidates who fall within the number of vacancies in the merit list shall be considered for appointment. In case of similar marks of two or more candidates, the merit order of a such group of candidates shall be as per their additional post-graduation qualification (i.e. the person with the higher educational qualification will be placed higher in the merit order), and in case of further similarity in educational qualification merit order will be decided on the basis of age, (i.e. senior in age will be placed higher in merit order).
