The candidates will undergo Apprenticeship Training for One year/ One year and three months/ Two years under the Apprentices Act, 1961 in the trades mentioned below for the year 2019. 1. FRESHERS
No. of Vacancies: 480 Nos.
Trade wise vacancies:
i) Carpenter: 40 posts (UR-16, OBC-11, SC-06, ST-03, EWS-04)
ii) Electrician: 80 posts (UR-32, OBC-22, SC-12, ST-06, EWS-08)
iii) Fitter: 120 posts (UR-49, OBC-32, SC-18, ST-09, EWS-12)
iv) Machinist: 40 posts (UR-16, OBC-11, SC-06, ST-03, EWS-04)
v) Painter: 40 posts (UR-16, OBC-11, SC-06, ST-03, EWS-04)
vi) Welder: 160 posts (UR-65, OBC-43, SC-24, ST-12, EWS-16)
Educational Qualification:
i) For Fitter, Electrician & Machinist:- Should have passed 10th Standard (with minimum 50% aggregate marks) with Science and Maths under 10+2 system or its equivalent.
ii) For Carpenter, Painter & Welder:- Should have passed 10th Standard (with minimum 50% aggregate marks) under 10+2 system or its equivalent
Age Limit: Minimum 15 years and maximum 24 years as on 01/01/2019.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.5700/- for 1st year, Rs.6500/- for 2nd year per month.

i) Carpenter: 40 posts (UR-16, OBC-11, SC-06, ST-03, EWS-04)

iv) Machinist: 40 posts (UR-16, OBC-11, SC-06, ST-03, EWS-04)
v) Painter: 40 posts (UR-16, OBC-11, SC-06, ST-03, EWS-04)
vi) Welder: 130 posts (UR-52, OBC-35, SC-20, ST-10, EWS-13)
vi) Programming and System Administration Assistant (PASSA): 02 posts (UR-01, OBC-01)
Educational Qualification:
i) For Fitter, Electrician & Machinist:- Should have passed 10th Standard (with minimum 50% marks) with Science and Maths under 10+2 system or its equivalent and also possess National Trade Certificate in respective trade issued by National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT).
ii) For Carpenter, Painter & Welder:- Should have passed 10th Standard (with minimum 50% marks) under 10+2 system or its equivalent and also possess National Trade Certificate in respective trade issued by National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT).
iii) For Programming and System Administration Assistant (PASSA):- Should have passed 10th Standard (with minimum 50% marks) and also possess National Trade Certificate in the trade of Computer Operator and Programming Assistant (COPA) issued by National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT).
Age Limit: Minimum 15 years and maximum 24 years as on 01/01/2019.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.5700/- for 1st year, Rs.6500/- for 2nd year & Rs.7350/- for 3rd year per month.
The candidates will undergo Apprenticeship Training for One year/ One year and three months/ Two years under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for the year 2019.
NOTE: The candidates who have registered with a local employment exchange falling within the State of Tamilnadu are only eligible to apply. However, this condition does not apply to wards of Railway employee. For more details please see the Official Advt.
Candidates possessing higher qualifications like Engineering Degree/ Diploma are not eligible to apply.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of marks obtained in Educational Qualification and Document Verification.

Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip with unique registration number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO ANYWHERE AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
