The candidates will be engaged as Apprentice under the Apprentices’ Act, 1961 for the year 2018-19 in Rail Wheel Factory. APPRENTICES
No. of Vacancies: 192 Nos.
Trade wise vacancies:
i. Fitter: 85 posts (UR-43, SC-13, ST-06, OBC-23)
ii. Machinist: 31 posts (UR-16, SC-05, ST-02, OBC-08)
iii. Mechanic (Motor Vehicle): 08 posts (UR-04, SC-01, ST-01, OBC-02)
iv. Turner: 05 posts (UR-03, SC-01, OBC-01)
v. CNC Programming cum-Operator (COE Group): 23 posts (UR-12, SC-03, ST-02, OBC-06)
vi. Electrician: 18 posts (UR-09, SC-03, ST-01, OBC-05)
vii. Electronic Mechanic: 22 posts (UR-11, SC-03, ST-02, OBC-06)
Educational Qualification:
i) Must have passed 10th Class examination or its equivalent with minimum 50% aggregate marks from recognized Board.
ii) Possess National Trade Certificate (NTC) in the respective trade.
Age Limit: Completed 15 years nad should not have completed 24 years as on 13/08/2018.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.6081/- for CNC Programming cum-Operator (COE Group) & Rs.6841/- for rest of the trades per month.
The candidates who have registered their names with the Employment Exchanges falling within the State of Karnataka are only eligible to apply. Wards of serving Railway employees all over the Indian Railways are also eligible to apply.
Candidates possessing higher qualifications are not eligible to apply.
The candidates will be engaged as Apprentice under the Apprentices’ Act, 1961 for the year 2018-19 in Rail Wheel Factory. The candidates will be undergo training for a period of One year, except for CNC Programming cum-Operator (COE Group) for which the training will be for a period of six (06) months.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be on the basis of marks obtained in Academic Qualification.

Application Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.100/- as Application Fee. Fee can be paid through Indian Postal Order/ Demand Draft drawn in favour of Principal Financial Adviser/ Rail Wheel Factory.
