JAIL WARDER (MALE & FEMALE)
No. of Vacancies: 135 Nos. (Male- UR:116, ST(H)-08, Female- UR:11)
Educational Qualification:
i) For Male Warder: a) HSLC or Class X passed from a recognized Board and b) Candidate should know bi-cycling.
ii) For Female Warder: Must have passed Annual examination of Class VIII or an equivalent examination recognised by the Govt.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 38 years as on 01.01.2018.
Pay Scale: Rs. 14000-49,000/- and Grade pay Rs. 5000/-
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Physical Standards:
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 162.5 cm (160 cm for ST candidates); Chest (unexpanded) — 81 cm
(ii) Female Candidates: Height — 144.5 cm (142 cm for ST candidates)
Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
Eye Sight: The distant vision should be 6/6 for atleast one eye and not poorer than 6/9 for the other without correction. Near vision should be normal.
Candidates’ Selection: The selection of candidates will be through Physical Standard Tests (PST), Physical Efficiency Tests (PET) and Written Test. Selected candidates shall be required to undergo basic training. They will be on probation for a period of two years.
