Special Teacher Eligibility Test 2023 (Assam STET 2023)

Assam STET 2023: Assam government, in the provision of Section 23 of the RTE Act – 2009 has decided to conduct the Special 6th Schedule Teacher Eligibility Test (TET)-2023 for Lower Primary and Upper Primary level for the 6th Schedule area districts of Assam as per the guidelines laid down by NOTE and thereby on-line applications are Invited from the candidates having permanent residence in the 6th Schedule area district of Assam who intend to appear in Paper.

ADVERTISEMENT ON SPECIAL 6th SCHEDULE TEACHER ELIGIBILITY TEST (TET)-2023 FOR LOWER
PRIMARY & UPPER PRIMARY LEVEL

Minimum Qualification for appearing in Lower Primary TET (Classes I to V) – Assam STET

1. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
2. Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed)
3. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
4. Graduation and two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
5. Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) obtained from any NCTE-recognized institution shall be considered for appointment as a teacher in class I to V, provided the person so appointed as a teacher will have to mandatorily undergo a six-month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NOTE, within two years of such appointment as a primary teacher.

Minimum Qualification for appearing in Upper Primary TET (Classes VI to VIII) – Assam STET

1. Graduation and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
2. At least 50% marks either in Graduation or in Post Graduation and B. Ed
3. Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. El. Ed).
4. Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year B.A./ B. Sc. Ed, Or B.A, Ed/B. Sc, Ed,
5. Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1-year B. Ed, (Special Education) Note: Minimum percentage of marks in graduation shall not be applicable to those incumbents who had already taken admitted to the Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Elementary Education or an equivalent course prior to the 29th July 2011.

Validity :

• The TET qualifying certificate for an appointment, unless notified by the appropriate Government, would remain valid until the date of issue of the certificate by the Empowered Committee, -Assam.
