1. ASSISTANT JAILOR
No. of Vacancies: 30 Nos. (Men: 16 posts (GT-05, BC-05, MBC/DC-03, SC-03) & Female: 14 posts (GT-04, BC-04, MBC/DC-03, SC-03))
Educational Qualification:
i) A degree of any recognized University.
ii) Candidate should possess adequate knowledge in Tamil.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 30 years as on 01/07/2018. No maximum age limit for SC/ SC(A), ST, MBC/DC, BC(OBCM), BC and Destitute Widows (i.e candidates should not have completed 58 years).
Pay Scale: Rs.35,400 – 1,12,400/-
The vacancies are in Prison Department. The candidates will be appointed on Direct Recruitment basis.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Physical Standards:
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 168 cms (160 cms for ST candidates); Chest (unexpanded) — 81 cms (79 cms for ST); Chest (expanded) — 86 cms (84 cms for ST)
(ii) Female Candidates: Height — 159 cms (157 cms for ST candidates)
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Examination and Oral Test (Interview). The Written Examination will be held on 06/01/2019 at various centres (please see the Official Advt. for name of the centres). The Oral Test will be held tentatively in the month of May, 2019.

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.150/- as Examination Fee & Rs.150/- as Registration Fee (candidates who had already registered under one time registration system are exempted form paying the registration fee. For more details please see the Official Advt.). Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking OR can be paid through Bank by means of fee payment Challan. NO EXAMINATION FEE REQUIRED IN CASE OF SC/ SC(A), ST, PWD, MBC/DC, BC(OBCM), BCM, DESTITUTE WIDOWS & EX-SERVICEMEN CANDIDATES.

Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip with unique registration number will appear on the computer screen.
