1. ASSISTANT SURGEON (ASSISTANT COMMANDANT/ VETERINARY)
No. of Vacancies: 17 Nos. (UR-12, SC-01, ST-03, OBC-01)
Educational Qualification:
i) Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry from a recognised University.
ii) Registration with the Veterinary Council of India.
Age Limit: Maximum 35 years as on 06/03/2019.
Pay Scale: Rs.56,100-1,77,500/-
The posts are Temporary but likely to be Permanent.
PWD candidates are not eligible to apply.
The selected candidates will have to undergo Basic Training.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Physical Standards:
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 157.5 cms; Chest (unexpanded) — 77 cms; Chest (expanded) — 82 cms; Weight — Should be proportionate to height & age.
(ii) Female Candidates: Height — 142 cms; Weight — Should be proportionate to height & age.
Cut-off in Physical Standards: For candidates belonging to certain categories/ communities or of certain States/Areas; the cut-off in such candidate’s Height/ Chest’s measurement will be as per Govt. norms. Please see officially released advertisement for more details.
Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard
Test (PST), Document Verification, Written Examination, Interview and Medical Examination.
