1. ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF HORTICULTURE
No. of Vacancies: 74 Nos. (GT-22, BC(OBCM)-20, BC(M)-02, MBC/DC-15, SC-11, SC(A)-03, ST-1)
Educational Qualification: Must possess a degree in M.Sc. (Horticulture) or equivalent qualification from any recognized University or Institution.
Age Limit: Should not have completed 30 years as on 01.07.2018.
Pay Scale: Rs. 56100 – 177500/-
2. HORTICULTURAL OFFICER
No. of Vacancies: 101 Nos. (GT-30, BC(OBCM)-27, BC(M)-05, MBC/DC-20, SC-15, SC(A)-03, ST-01)
Educational Qualification: Must possess a degree in B.Sc. (Horticulture) or equivalent qualification from any recognized University or Institution.
Age Limit: Should not have completed 30 years (should not have completed 32 years in case of candidates holding a post graduate degree or Ph.D in Horticulture) as on 01.07.2018.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37700-119500/-
Note: Candidates should possess adequate knowledge in Tamil.
The candidates will be appointed on Direct Recruitment basis. The vacancies are under Tamil Nadu Horticultural Service.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms. No maximum age limit for candidates belonging to SC/ SC(A), ST, MBC/DC, BC(OBCM), BCM categories and Destitute Widows (No maximum age limit means candidates should not have completed 58 years).
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Examination and Oral Test (Interview). The Written Examination will be held on 12.01.2019 & 13.01.2019. The examination will be held at the following centres namely Chennai, Madurai and Coimbatore. The Oral Test will be held tentatively in the month of May, 2019.

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.200/- as Examination Fee & Rs.150/- as Registration Fee (candidates who had already registered under one time registration system are exempted form paying the registration fee. Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking OR can be paid through Bank by means of fee payment Challan. NO EXAMINATION FEE REQUIRED IN CASE OF SC/ SC(A), ST, PWD, MBC/DC, BC(OBCM)/ BCM, DESTITUTE WIDOW & EX-SERVICEMEN CANDIDATES.

Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip with unique registration number will appear on the computer screen.
