12 Asst. Editor, Editorial Asst., Proof Readers Jobs in NCERT

National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) is recruiting eligible candidates for 12 posts of Assistant Editors, Editorial Assistants and Proof Readers. The candidates will be appointed on Contractual basis for a period of One year. Interested and eligible candidates may appear directly for the Walk-in-Interview along with prescribed application/testimonials on below mentioned scheduled dates and venue. NATIONAL COUNCIL OF EDUCATIONAL RESEARCH AND TRAINING (NCERT) WILL CONDUCT WALK-IN-INTERVIEW FOR 12 POSTS OF ASSISTANT EDITORS, EDITORIAL ASSISTANTS AND PROOF READERS. WALK-IN DATE — From 05/02/2019 to 07/02/2019

 

1. ASSISTANT EDITOR
No. of Vacancies: 05 Nos. (English – 03, Hindi – 02)
Educational Qualification: i) A degree in Arts or in Science from a recognised University.
ii) Proficiency in the concerned language.
Experience: At least 05 years’ experience in compiling editing, proof reading and typography etc. in an organisation of repute.
Age Limit: Below 35 years.
Consolidated Pay: Rs. 52,000/- per month.

 

2. EDITORIAL ASSISTANT
No. of Vacancies: 05 Nos. (English – 02, Hindi – 02, Urdu – 01)
Educational Qualification: i) Second Class Degree in Arts or Science from any recognised University.
ii) Proficiency in the concerned language.
Experience: i) At least 03 years experience in collection, compilation and subbing of materials for publication in Govt./ Semi-Govt. publishing organisation or reputable publishing house.
ii) Working knowledge of book production, techniques lay-out and proof-correction.
Age Limit: Below 30 years.
Consolidated Pay: Rs. 33,000/- per month.

 

3. PROOF READER
No. of Vacancies: 02 Nos. (English – 01, Hindi – 01)
Educational Qualification: i) Bachelor degree either in English/ Hindi/ Urdu.
ii) Working knowledge of Computer.
Experience: At least 01 year experience of working in a printing or publishing organization as Copy Holder/ Proof Reader.
Desirable: Knowledge of typography.
Age Limit: Maximum 27 years.
Consolidated Pay: Rs. 24,000/- per month.

 

The candidates will be appointed on Contractual basis for a period of One year.

 

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC category as per Govt. norms.

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Skill Test and Interview.
