1. ASSISTANT ENGINEER- ENGINEERING SERVICE
No. of Vacancies: 73 Nos. (SC-13, ST-01, MBC-15, BC-19, BCM-02, GT-23)
Educational Qualification: i) Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
ii) Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering/ Chemical Engineering/ M.Tech. Environmental Science and Technology awarded by Anna University/ M.Tech. Petroleum Refining and Petrochemicals awarded by Anna University/ M.E. Environmental Management awarded by Anna University.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 30 years as on 01/01/2018.
Pay Scale: Rs.37,700 – 1,19,500/-
2. ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENTIST- SCIENTIFIC SERVICE
No. of Vacancies: 60 Nos. (SC-12, ST-01, MBC-12, BC-14, BCM-03, GT-18)
Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree in Science in any one of the following discipline:-
i) Chemistry
ii) Biology
iii) Zoology
iv) Environmental Chemistry
v) Environmental Science
vi) Environmental Toxicology
vii) Microbiology
viii) Marine Biology
ix) Bio-Chemistry
x) Analytical Chemistry
xi) Applied Chemistry
xii) Botany.

3. ASSISTANT (JUNIOR ASSISTANT)- GENERAL SUB-ORDINATE SERVICE
No. of Vacancies: 36 Nos. (SC-08, MBC-07, SC-09, BCM-02, GT-10)
Educational Qualification: i) A pass in Bachelor’s Degree.
ii) Diploma/ Certificate in Computer Course for a period of minimum six (06) months.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 30 years as on 01/01/2018.
Pay Scale: Rs.19,500 – 62,000/-
4. TYPIST- GENERAL SUB-ORDINATE SERVICE
No. of Vacancies: 55 Nos. (SC-10, ST-01, MBC-11, BC-15, BCM-02, GT-16)
Educational Qualification: i) A pass in Bachelor’s Degree.
ii) A pass in the Government Technical Examination in Typewriting Higher Grade in English and Tamil.
iii) Diploma/ Certificate in Computer Course for a period of minimum six (06) months.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 30 years as on 01/01/2018.
Pay Scale: Rs.19,500 – 62,000/-
Note: Candidates should possess adequate knowledge of Tamil.
The vacancies are in Engineering Service, Scientific Service and General Sub-ordinate Service. The candidates will be appointed on Direct Recruitment basis.
The selected candidates will be placed on Training.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, MBC/DNC, BC category and others if any as per Govt. norms.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Online Examination, Skill Test and Interview wherever applicable. The examination will be held at various centres in the State. For more details please see the Official Advt.

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Rs. 500/- (Rs. 250/- for SC/ST, PWD and Destitute Widows) as Examination Fee.
