UGC- NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST (NET) JAN-2017
Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination with 55% marks (50% marks OBC/SC/ST/PWD candidates) in Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science etc. (For the list of total 82 subjects, see the officially released Advt. given below in PDF format).
Candidates who have appeared OR will be appearing at the qualifying Master’s degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited may also apply for the test.
Age Limit: For selection to Junior Research Fellowship — Not more than 28 years AND For selection to Assistant Professor — No upper age limit.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test. Test will consist of three papers and will be held on 22.01.2017 at various centres across the country.
Candidate who will qualify NET-2017 will be eligible for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship or both.

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.600/- (Rs.300/- for OBC and Rs.150/- for SC/ST/PWD) as Examination Fee. Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking or any other option available. Upon successful payment of prescribed fee and submission of online application form, the system generated Registration/ Acknowledgement Slip with unique registration number will appear on the computer screen. Candidates must print-out it for future correspondence. DO NOT SEND ANY PRINT-OUT/HARD COPY OR DOCUMENTS TO ANYWHERE AT THIS STAGE. All the verification will be done in due course.
