343 Constable/ Driver-cum-Pump Operator (DCPO) in Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). Last Dt. 25/08/12 (01/09/2012)

Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) is recruiting 343 persons for the post of “Constable/ Driver-cum-Pump Operator (Driver for Fire Service)”. The posts are on temporary basis but likely to become permanent.  Only male candidates may apply. Qualification criteria and other norms is given below in brief—

RECRUITMENT OF CONSTABLE/ DRIVER-CUM-PUMP OPERATOR FOR FIRE SERVICES (DCPO) IN CENTRAL INDUSTRIAL SECURITY FORCE (CISF) – 2012.

1. Constable/ Driver (DCPO): 343 Nos. (Gen—88; SC—71; ST—32; OBC—103; Ex-Serviceman—49) including Backlog vacancies.

Qualification Required: Madhyamik pass (Class-10) or equivalent and must have valid Driving Licence for Heavy vehicles, Light vehicles and Motor cycle with gear.
Experience: Minimum 3yrs of experience required in driving heavy/ light motor vehicles.

Age limits: between 21yrs to 27yrs as on 25/08/2012. Upper age relaxation for SC/ST—5yrs; OBC—3yrs; Ex-Serviceman and others—as per norms.

Pay Scale: Rs.5200—Rs.20200 and Grade pay – Rs.2000 per month.

The appointments in the above posts is on temporary basis but likely to become permanent. The recruitment will be conducted on All India basis and selected candidates may be posted any where in the country.
Only male candidates may apply.

Physical Standards:—
Height: 167 cms (160cms for ST and 160cms for hill areas candidates)
Chest: 80 cms (76cms for ST and 78cms for hill area candidates) and must have chest expansion ability by 05 cms.
Weight: Should be correspondence to age and height as per medical standards.
Eye Sight: Minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of both eyes without correction i.e. without wearing of glasses.
The candidates must not have knock-knees, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and any other obvious deformities. They must be in sound health and free from any physical defect which may interfere in the performance of the duties.

Candidates’ Selection: Selection will be through Physical Efficiency Test, Trade Test and Written Test. Finally there will be medical examination.
Physical Efficiency Test will be as follows—
(I) Run of 800 mtrs to be completed within 3 minutes and 15 seconds
(II) Long Jump of 11ft in 3 chances and
(III) High Jump of 3ft-6inches in 3 chances
PET is not applicable for ex-serviceman.

Qualified candidates from PET will be go through Trade Test, i.e Driving test and knowledge test in ability to carry out minor repair of vehicles.
After Trade test, there will be Written Test of 20 marks.

How to Apply: Interested candidates may apply on prescribed application format.
Application form should be enclosed with attested copies (attestation by gazetted officer only) of Educational certificate, Driving Licence, experience certificate, age proof, Caste, and any other relevant documents. Also enclose—

  • IPO of Rs.50/ as application fee (in case of General and OBC candidates)
  • One self addressed envelopes (8 x 19 Cms size) duly affixing postal stamps for Rs.22/-
  • Two additional self signed (in the front) passport size photographs as enclosures

Application Fee: Candidates should pay application fee of Rs.50/- in form of Indian Postal Order drawn in favour of the officer as per Unit where candidates wish to apply. For details, read the Advt. which is available in the below given link. SC/ST and Ex-serviceman are exempted from application fee.

Last Date: Application form along with enclosures should reach on and within 25/08/2012 (01/09/2012 in case of candidates from North East Region).
