DGCA approves Hindustan 228 aircraft

• The directorate general of civil aviation has given the green light to a new version of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited’s (HAL) aircraft, the “Hindustan 228-201 LW,” the company said on Monday (DGCA).
• The maximum takeoff weight for this model is 5,695 kg, and it can accommodate 19 passengers.

Yamunotri Dham

• Yamunotri is a part of Char Dham (along with Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath), the four most revered Hindu pilgrimages in the Himalayas.
• The Char Dham Yatra pilgrimage, which begins in May and ends in October, travels from Yamunotri to Gangotri and then on to Kedarnath and Badrinath. The little mountain village with the Yamunotri Temple at its centre draws thousands of pilgrims each year.
