EXCISE CONSTABLE
No. of Vacancies: 219 Nos.
Educational Qualification:
i) Must have passed High School Certificate (HSC) or equivalent examination.
ii) The candidate must have-
a) Passed Middle School examination with Odia as a language subject; or
b) Passed Matriculation or equivalent examination with Odia as a medium of examination in non-language subject; or
c) Passed in Odia as Language subject in the final examination of Class VII or above; or
d) Passed a test in Odia in Middle English School Standard conducted by the School & Mass Education Department.
Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 32 years as on 01/01/2018
Pay Scale: Rs.5,200-20,200/- with Grade Pay Rs.1,800/-

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST/SEBC/Women category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Physical Standards:
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 168 cm (163 cm for ST candidates); Chest (unexpanded) — 79 cm (76 cm for ST); Chest (expanded) — 84 cm (81 cm for ST); Weight — 55 kg (50 kg for ST candidates)
(ii) Female Candidates: Height — 158 cm (153 cm for ST candidates); Weight — 47.5 kg (45kg for ST candidates)
Candidates must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Physical Standard Measurement Test, Physical Efficiency Test, Educational Achievement and Written Test.
