Indian Army, Army Service Corps Units is inviting application from the eligible candidates for 16 posts of Fire Engine Driver, Fireman and Industrial Mazdoor. INDIAN ARMY, ARMY SERVICE CORPS UNITS IS INVITING APPLICATION FOR 16 POSTS OF FIRE ENGINE DRIVER, FIREMAN AND INDUSTRIAL MAZDOOR. LAST DATE — 21/04/2019 (28/04/2019)

 

1. FIRE ENGINE DRIVER
No. of Vacancies: 03 Nos. (UR-02, OBC-01)
Educational Qualification: i) 10th Standard pass or equivalent from a recognized Board.
(ii) Must be in possession of valid driving licence.
Experience: Must have atleast 03 years experience of driving heavy vehicles.
Desirable: i) Should be familiar with maintenance and operation of various types of fire appliances.
ii) Experience of having worked in a regular civil or Defence Fire Brigade as Fireman Grade I or Senior Fireman.
iii) Should have passed the general Fire Fighting Course from Defence Institute of Fire Research, Ministry of Defence, New Delhi or the Sub-Officers Course from National Fire Service College, Nagpur or any other similar recognized course.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years.
Pay: Rs. 21,700/- per month.

 

2. FIREMAN
No. of Vacancies: 09 Nos. (UR-05, SC-01, ST-01, OBC-02)
Educational Qualification: i) 10th Standard pass or equivalent from a recognized Board.
ii) Must be conversant with the use and maintenance of all types of extinguishers, hose fittings and fire appliances and equipment fire engines, trailer, pumps, foam branches.
iii) Must be familiar with the use and maintenance of first-aid fire fighting appliances and Trailer Fire Pump.
iv) Must know elementary principles of Fire Fighting methods employed in fighting different types of fire.
v) Must be conversant with foot and appliance Fire Service Drills and be able to perform the task allotted to the members of fire crew.
Experience: Must have served in a recognised Civil or Defence Fire Brigades as Fireman Grade II for a minimum period of 03 years.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years.
Pay: Rs. 19,900/- per month.

 

3. INDUSTRIAL MAZDOOR
No. of Vacancies: 04 Nos. (UR-02, ST-01, OBC-01)
Educational Qualification: 10th Standard pass or equivalent from a recognized Board.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 25 years.
Pay: Rs. 18,000/- per month.

 

Only Male candidates are eligible to apply for the posts. The selected candidates will be on Probation for two years.

The place of appointment and employment of candidates will be Akhnoor & Rajouri (Jammu & Kashmir).

 

Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.

 

Physical Standards:
(i) Male Candidates: Height — 165 cms (162.5 cms for ST candidates); Chest (unexpanded) — 81.5 cms; Chest (expanded) — 85 cms; Weight — 50 kgs.

 

Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Test, Physical Fitness Test and Practical Trade Test.
