Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) is recruiting eligible candidates for 173 posts of Graduate Apprentices. The candidates will undergo Apprenticeship Training for a period of One year in different disciplines mentioned below under the Apprentices Act 1962 and Amendment Act 1973, for the year 2019-2020. GRADUATE APPRENTICES
Discipline wise vacancies and qualifications are given below:
1. AERONAUTICAL/ AEROSPACE ENGINEERING
No. of Vacancies: 15 Nos.
Educational Qualification: First class Aeronautical/ Aerospace Engineering degree with not less than 65% marks or equivalent CGPA.
2. CHEMICAL ENGINEERING
No. of Vacancies: 10 Nos.
Educational Qualification: First class Chemical Engineering degree with not less than 65% marks or equivalent CGPA.
3. CIVIL ENGINEERING
No. of Vacancies: 12 Nos.
Educational Qualification: First class Civil Engineering degree with not less than 65% marks or equivalent CGPA.
4. COMPUTER SCIENCE/ ENGINEERING
No. of Vacancies: 20 Nos.
Educational Qualification: First class Computer Science/ Engineering degree with not less than 65% marks or equivalent CGPA.
5. ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
No. of Vacancies: 12 Nos.
Educational Qualification: First class Electrical Engineering degree with not less than 65% marks or equivalent CGPA.
6. ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING
No. of Vacancies: 40 Nos.
Educational Qualification: First class Electronics Engineering degree with not less than 65% marks or equivalent CGPA.
7. MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
No. of Vacancies: 40 Nos.
Educational Qualification: First class Mechanical Engineering degree with not less than 65% marks or equivalent CGPA.
8. METALLURGY
No. of Vacancies: 06 Nos.
Educational Qualification: First class Engineering degree in Metallurgy with not less than 65% marks or equivalent CGPA.
9. PRODUCTION ENGINEERING
No. of Vacancies: 06 Nos.
Educational Qualification: First class Production Engineering degree with not less than 65% marks or equivalent CGPA.
10. LIBRARY & INFORMATION SCIENCE
No. of Vacancies: 08 Nos.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree plus first class BLISc with not less than 60% marks.
11. CATERING TECHNOLOGY/ HOTEL MANAGEMENT
No. of Vacancies: 04 Nos.
Educational Qualification: First class degree in Catering Technology/ Hotel Management with not less than 60% marks.
Age Limit (for all the disciplines): Maximum 30 years as on 14/12/2018.
Consolidated Pay (for all the disciplines): Rs.5000/- per month.
The candidates will undergo Apprenticeship Training for a period of One year in different disciplines under the Apprentices Act 1962 and Amendment Act 1973, for the year 2019-2020.
Candidates who have passed Degree in/ after April 2016 are only eligible to apply.
Ex-Apprentices or current Apprentices in any organization/ firm are not eligible to apply.
Candidates with one year or more job experience in the relevant field are not eligible to apply.
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Interview.
