1. GRADUATE APPRENTICES
No. of Vacancies: 350 Nos.
Discipline wise vacancies:
i) Civil Engineering: 315 posts
ii) Electrical and Electronics Engineering: 35 posts
Educational Qualification: i) A Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University/ Institution in relevant discipline.
ii) Graduate examination of Professional bodies recognized by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to above.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.4984/- per month.
2. TECHNICIAN (DIPLOMA) APPRENTICES
No. of Vacancies: 150 Nos.
Discipline wise vacancies:
i) Civil Engineering: 135 posts
ii) Electrical and Electronics Engineering: 15 posts
Educational Qualification: A Diploma in Engineering or Technology from a recognized State Council or Board of Technical Education/ University/ Institution in relevant discipline.
Consolidated Pay: Rs.3542/- per month.
Only candidates hailing from Tamilnadu are eligible to apply. The candidates will undergo One year Apprenticeship training under the Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973.
Note:-
i) Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship under Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973, and/ or having one year or more experience are not eligible to apply.
ii) The candidates should have passed their Degree/ Diploma in Engineering during the year 2017, 2018 and 2019.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of percentage of marks obtained in the Educational Qualification and Certificate Verification. The Certificate Verification will be held at Board of Apprenticeship Training (SR), Chennai from 08/07/2019 to 10/07/2019.
