Educational Qualification:
Passed 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination from recognized Institution along with desired sports achievement.
OR Matriculation Plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship/ ITI approved by NCVT/ SCVT.
OR In case, the candidates considered on 10th Standard passes qualification to the post of Skilled Artisan, such sports quota appointees will be directed for training for a period of three (03) years.
Minimum Sports Qualification:
i) Represented the Country in the Olympic Games.
OR
ii) Represented the Country in any of the following championships/ events:-
a) World Cup (Junior/ Youth/ Senior)
b) World Championships (Junior/ Senior)
c) Asian Games (Senior)
d) Commonwealth Games (Senior)
e) Youth Olympics
f) Davis Cup (Tennis)
g) Champions Trophy (Hockey)

OR
iii) Obtained at least 3rd position in any of the following championships/ events:-
a) Commonwealth Championship (Junior/ Senior)
b) Asian Championships/ Asia Cup (Junior/ Senior)
c) South Asian Federations Games (Senior)
d) USIC (World Railways) Championships (Senior)
e) World University Games.
OR
iv) Obtained at least 3rd Position in Senior/ Youth/ Junior National Championships.
OR
v) Obtained at least 3rd Position in National Games under the aegis of Indian Olympics Association.
OR
vi) Obtained at least 3rd Position in All India Inter University Championship under the ageis of Association of Indian Universities.
OR
vii) Obtained 1st Position in the Federation Cup Championship (Senior category).
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and below 25 years as on 01/01/2020.
Pay Scale: Rs.5200 — Rs.20200
Note: The candidates must be active sports persons and have acquired the achievements on or after 01/04/2017.
The vacancies are against Sports Quota (Open Advertisement) for the year 2019-20 in South Western Railway, Personnel Department.
The selected candidates will undergo prescribed Training course as applicable for the post.
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Trials, Assessment of Sports Achievements and Educational Qualification.
