No. of Vacancies: 42 Nos. (UR-17, SC-18, OBC-07)
Educational Qualification:
i) Higher Secondary Examination from the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination from a recognized Council / Board / University / Institution.
ii) Speed in Shorthand and Type writing @ 120 w.p.m. and 30 w.p.m. respectively
Age Limit:Â Not less than 18 years and not more than 32 years as on 01/01/2018.
Pay Scale:Â Rs.7100 – Rs.37600 and Grade Pay Rs.3600/-
Upper Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for PWD category. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Candidates’ Selection:Â Selection of the candidates will be through Test in Shorthand.
Note: SC/ST/OBC(A)/OBC(B) candidates of other States shall be treated as Unreserved category candidates.

Application Fee: Candidates must pay Rs. 300/- (Rs. 150/- for S.C./S.T. of West Bengal candidates only) as Application Fee. Fee can be paid through Indian Postal Order drawn in favour of Registrar General, High Court, Calcutta, payable at G.P.O. at Calcutta.
How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates may apply on plain paper along with attested copies of testimonials in support of Educational Qualification, Caste, Age, Experience certificate (if applicable) and any other relevant documents
Candidates may write their application form in a plain paper by mentioning the following details: (i) Full name of the candidate (in capital letters), (ii) Father’s/Husband’s Name, (iii) Date of Birth, (iv) Actual age as on 01.01.2018, (v) Address (Present and Permanent, along with PIN code) with Telephone/Mobile number, (vi) Educational Qualification, (vii) Other Qualification, (viii) Knowledge in Computer, (ix) Speed in Shorthand and Typewriting, (x) Whether belongs to S.C. / S.T. / O.B.C (A)/ O.B.C. (B)/ Persons with Disabilities/Meritorius Sports person; (xi) Whether belongs to Exempted category, if yes, mention the Identity Card Number issued from the Labour Deptt. Govt. of West Bengal (xii) Nationality and (xiii) Details of depositing application fees i.e. Indian Postal Order No., Date and Amount.
Candidates must also enclose 01 ( 25 cm x 11 cm) Self-Addressed envelope with the Application Form affixed with postage stamp of Rs. 5/-
The envelope containing the print-out/enclosures should be superscribed on top with — “NAME OF THE POST APPLIED FOR _____ CATEGORY ____”
