DRIVER (ON CONTRACT BASIS)
No. of Vacancies: 02 Nos. (UR-01, SC-01)
Educational Qualification:
(i) Should have passed Matriculation Examination or its equivalent from recognized Board / Institution.
(ii) Must possess valid driving licence for the plying of heavy/ light vehicles in Hilly terrain.
Desirable: Knowledge of customs, manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 45 years as on 01-01-2018. Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for bonafide SC of H.P. / ST of H.P. / OBC of H.P. /WFF of H.P. / PWD of Himachal Pradesh. For H.P.. Ex-Serviceman & Others, if any — As per Govt. norms.
Note: Reserved Category candidates of States other than Himachal Pradesh will be treated as Unreserved (General) category candidates.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5910-20200/- and Grade Pay Rs. 2000/-
Candidates’ Selection: Selection of candidates will be through Written Examination, Driving Skill Test and Evaluation. The centers of holding examination will be preferably be Shimla or as decided by the commission.

Examination Fee: Candidates must pay Rs.400/- (Rs.100/- for S.C. of H.P. /S.T. of H.P. /O.B.C. of H.P. & General BPL) as Examination Fee. Fee can be paid through Online mode during submission of online application form by using Debit/Credit card or Net banking OR can be paid through Bank by means of fee payment Challan. Fee Challan can be downloaded from the official website of Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC). See released advertisement for more details.
NO EXAMINATION FEE REQUIRED IN CASE OF EX-SERVICEMEN OF H.P. CANDIDATES.
