ICPR Fellowship Notification 2024 Eligibility
(1) Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)
Educational Qualification:
- A Master’s degree in Philosophy or related disciplines from a recognized university.
- Minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade.
- For SC/ST candidates, a relaxation to 50% marks is applicable.
Age Limit: Not more than 40 years as of the last application date (relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/PWD candidates).
(2) Post-Doctoral Fellowship (General Fellowship)
Educational Qualification:
- Ph.D. in Philosophy or allied discipline, as per UGC norms.
- Must demonstrate research potential through publications (books or research articles).
- A Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST).
Age Limit:
- Not more than 50 years as of the last application date (relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/PWD candidates).
(3) Senior Fellowship
- Candidates should have a significant research background with high-quality publications.
- Typically awarded to senior scholars, professors, or researchers with a notable contribution to philosophy.
(4) National Fellowship
- The National Fellowship is awarded to eminent scholars who have made significant contributions to the field of philosophy.
- Candidates are eligible only if they are nominated by eligible members of the ICPR; direct applications are not accepted.
- Scholars who have previously received an ICPR fellowship are only eligible if at least five years have passed since the start date of that fellowship.
- Applicants must not have any unresolved defaults on previous ICPR grants. If there is a prior default, the candidate must obtain clearance from ICPR before being considered.
- Candidates must have a clean disciplinary record with no pending investigations or findings of guilt in disciplinary actions. Those with any such record are not eligible.

Registration Details: After registration, candidates should carefully save or note down their Registration/Enrolment Number for future reference.
After successfully completing the online application, candidates must send a printed copy of the application form along with copies of their educational documents to ICPR, New Delhi. This submission should be completed by November 25, 2024.
