- Pay Scale: Rs. 159,100 – Rs. 220,200
- Associate Professor (Level-13A2)
- Pay Scale: Rs. 139,600 – Rs. 211,300
- Assistant Professor Grade-I (Level-12)
- Pay Scale: Rs. 101,500 – Rs. 167,400
- Assistant Professor Grade-II (Contractual, Level-10)
- Initial Pay: Rs. 70,900, moving to Rs. 73,100 after one year

Eligibility Criteria for Indian Institute of Management, Shillong Recruitment 2024
To apply for the faculty positions at IIM Shillong, candidates must meet the following qualifications and experience requirements:
1. Professor (Level-14A)
- Qualification: Ph.D. in the relevant discipline with a first-class or equivalent in the preceding degree.
- Experience: At least 10 years of teaching, research, or industrial experience, including 4 years as an Associate Professor in reputed institutions.
- Additional Requirements: A high-quality publication record and experience in Ph.D. guidance.
2. Associate Professor (Level-13A2)
- Qualification: Ph.D. in the relevant discipline with a first-class or equivalent in the preceding degree.
- Experience: At least 6 years of experience, including 3 years as an Assistant Professor.
- Additional Requirements: At least 1 research paper in Category A journals or 2 in Category B journals.
3. Assistant Professor Grade-I (Level-12)
- Qualification: Ph.D. in the relevant discipline with a first-class or equivalent in the preceding degree.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of teaching or industry experience after Ph.D.
- Additional Requirements: At least 2 publications in reputed journals such as Scopus or Web of Science.
4. Assistant Professor Grade-II (Contractual) (Level-10)
- Qualification: Ph.D. in the relevant discipline with a first-class or equivalent in the preceding degree.
- Experience: Fresh Ph.D. holders or those with less than 1 year of post-Ph.D. experience.
- Additional Requirements: This is a contract-based appointment with the possibility of promotion after one year.
Relaxation for Specific Categories
IIM Shillong provides relaxations in eligibility criteria for certain categories:
- SC/ST/PwD candidates: 5% relaxation in Master’s and Bachelor’s degree.
- OBC candidates: 3% relaxation in Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees.
